Service was good. Left still hungry and paid double what it was worth. We ordered chicken teriyaki and each had sushi roll to go with it. Portion size was insanely small for the price. And it's also not called Mr.Sushi anymore it's called Tsunami. I would not recommend going here and I will not be coming back either. The service was good and people were friendly though.

my go-to sushi spot! i actually live about 35 minutes away from pueblo, and i still make a point to stop here every time i'm in town. the rolls are a little pricy, but the staff are friendly, the food and tea is fantastic, it's a great location (right on union), and the restaurant itself is beautiful inside and out. you know you're there when you see the mural!
i've tried about half the sushi menu by now, and nothing has been any less than fantastic. i recommend the dragon and caterpillar rolls, but everything is so good, you can't possibly go wrong.

BEWARE OF RAMEN!
We went there for dinner, and although our server and apps were good, the ramen was a joke. When we were waiting for the food I thought I heard a microwave ding, and made a joke about it being the Shoyu ramen I ordered. I honestly think it was; the broth barley had flavor, the mushroom was so chewy I couldn’t bite it, it was topped with uncooked/unwilted spinach that was straight out of the bag, the radish on top had a spongy/gummy like texture, and the ramen eggs were hard boiled through and not typical soft boil. It was $15.
The sake, crab blossoms, salad, and sushi rolls were good, which is why I rated it 3/5 versus 1/5. Our server was so sweet too, but the ramen and its price is unacceptable.
That lady is very unprofessional. She kept telling me that I was basically ordering to much. She kept telling me if I was ok. I didn't think about til after. She basically thought that how could this mexican pay for all this food. She is racist!

We had a very nice meal during the Olympics. The beer was ice cold which is perfect with edame and soy sauce. Fresh, healthy, delicious! Big improvement from when the same establishment was called Tsunami- which also was outstanding quality, but the place seems more open as in less crowded now. Seems it could be really fun at night but we're too old for that now ;-)

The stuff was friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, and the service was impeccable. Our favorite roll was the Las Vegas roll with roasted Pueblo Dynamite chile, highly recommend if you like spice! I can't wait to come back and try more of their delicious menu!

No longer our favorite sushi restaurant due to problems with the hostess.
We have been regulars of Tsunami/Mr. Sushi for years. After Mr. Sushi took ownership we noticed that the prices kept rising and the rolls kept getting smaller. We kept coming in because the sushi is good and we like the beer and saki special. Then one night we asked our waiter for another beer and saki special after our meal but the hostess decides that she wants to wait our table and brings us our beer and a small saki. Since we are regulars we have ordered this special many times and we know that it comes with a large saki. When we asked her about it she insisted that we were wrong and that it’s always been a small saki even though our actual waiter that night had brought us a large saki for our first round. I think she finally realized that we knew she was lying so she eventually upgraded the saki to a large. A few weeks later we decide to come back for another meal since that’s the only problem we’ve ever had here. The same hostess tells us upon entering that they can’t seat us because the main dining room is full. We ask to be seated outside, which we have done here many times previously, and she refused. We ask about the overflow dining room, which we have also done previously. She starts to walk us over to the overflow dining room when she stops halfway turns around and rudely asks us if we can just wait for a table to open up. We said nope and walked out to have our sushi and saki elsewhere. She also treats the waitstaff horribly which contributes to their high turnover, we rarely ever had the same waiter twice ever since Mr Sushi took over. Maybe once this lady is gone we’ll try coming back but until then this bridge is burned.
