This restaurant is a gem! The food is always hot and fresh. They have tasty sauces and the sopapillas are delicious! We travel to Ridgway/Ouray several times a year and make a point to stop here. If you’re looking for good Mexican food without any frills or gimmicks, try this place!
First time visitors. First, the food was good after we scraped off the clear stuff on the burrito. However, as a visual eater when ordering online the red sauce is actually red. When we picked up the food the “red” sauce was almost clear with pico mixed in. When we asked where was the red sauce we were told the clear stuff was the red sauce ….?….Did NOT look appetizing. For a $20 burrito The food should look like their online pictures but it doesn’t.
A year after my first visit and it was still just as good. The chicken chimi from the lunch menu was full of wonderful chicken, no fillers like beans or rice. The outside was nice and crispy with sour cream and guacamole on top. The refried beans were great and while I don't particularly like rice and most Mexican restaurants, I ate it first, it was that good. The owner is very nice and attentive.
