This is my 5th time to dine here, & likely my last. I was seated promptly, but no one wanted to wait on me. I had to ask the guy cleaning tables to find me a waitress. 10 min later, he walked by & realized no one had come by. I felt like the neglected stepchild. All the tables around mine were being served. Eventually I was waited o, but didn’t receive a drink. Food cane out 1st. I was there an hour-&-15 min. Crazy.

Extremely incompetent people running this place. I recommend stopping if you like wasting all of your time. If I could give them -5 stars, I would.

Adorable breakfast/lunch spot. Friendly service and our food came out fast. My only issue is the prices. Five dollars for a cup of coffee is outlandish… And I’ve worked in an ad for over 35 years. That would never fly there for a breakfast- lunch. I ordered the red Mountain skillet and it was absolutely delicious. I ordered it with egg whites because I try to be plant-based but will do egg whites on occasion, but I bet you it’s really good with a full over easy egg! I loved eating beats in such a different way with roasted sweet potatoes on the red onion, red peppers. Absolutely delicious and it was a big enough portion that I took half of that home! That bowl was $18 but I thought it was worth it.
My husband on the other hand ordered French toast. It was tasty for sure but was just French toast. There was no bacon or anything that came with that and that was $16. So for four pieces of French toast (2 slices of bread) and a cup of coffee, he paid $21! With tip and everything our breakfast came to over $60. That should not be. I do have to say I was glad to see so many vegetarian/vegan options on the menu and it was a nice place to stop as a tourist…once.

Disappointing quality of food compared to the Kate’s Place of a couple years ago. Expensive for what it is— got the skillet, would not get again.

Service was great. The food was good, but small portions for the money, buy I would go there again.

Finally got to check it out after hearing good things, by far the best breakfast I've had out here, in years.. Sneffels Skillet was great, nice flavors.. at $5 for a cup of coffee I'll only be able to afford water next time though.. I'd suggest not having the ceiling fans on full blast, and to make sure tables don't wobble (easy fix) -> the devil is in the details ;)

Kate’s Place is a wonderful spot for breakfast. We sat outside, they have a beautiful patio area with plenty of seating. Our server, Marlee B, was really nice and attentive. The atmosphere is relaxed and clean and the food was delicious. If you are looking for a relaxed morning restaurant with good food Kate’s Place is the place to be.

We ordered 2 sneffles skillets to go and were disgusted as soon as we looked at the food. Skillets used to b my favorite meal at kates. This was soaked in grease with no flavor other than drenched in oil. Appeared to have been reheated a few times as all was burnt. We could not eat as it would have made us sick. And way overpriced now for a few potatoes and mushrooms and egg. Yuk. Done w kates forever.

This was Labor Day morning and the place was very busy. They sat me on the patio with several other tables waiting to get service. When the waitress showed up she was quick and efficient. She was just overwhelmed with customers. I had one of the skillets and it was so so. Nothing great but not terrible. I had an English muffin which they didn’t even toast. I had to go inside to find my waitress so I could pay my bill. I gave her a good tip, because I felt she was overworked.

Went here after a long trip on the way home- at first we were greeted by a guy who was a bit snippy with us, we had our food which was good, then after they proceeded to charge us 25% because we had 5 people. That was not explained to us. It's a charge you cannot get out of, and makes no sense whatsoever. There is probably a sign somewhere that says that, but fundamentally it costs no more money to seat 4 vs 5 if you are not busy. Welcome tourists and make them want to come back, not turn them upside down and shake them for their money.

Best breakfast ever?
I'm not a local, and I've eaten at a ton of breakfast restaurants, but this might be my favorite breakfast place ever. The food is absolutely delicious (definitely try the lemon ricotta pancakes!), good variety, and I think they must put crack in the breakfast potatoes because they are so addictive! The inside and outside seating areas are also cute, the patio is dog friendly, and the servers are very nice and attentive. I come here every time I'm in the area.
