I grew up in New Mexico with Green Chili. For years, people have told me to go here and try theirs. It is so super good. Loved being able to eat it in a restaurant where John Wayne once was at.

This place was awesome. We had to eat here while on vacation and it was worth it. My husband and son lived the chili fries. Staff was amazing. I want to add we purchase T-shirts while there which are so soft and comfortable, but a few weeks after getting home my husband ruined it. After contacting the restaurant, Stephanie Kissner saved my husbands rear ( lol by me) because she went out of her way by making sure to get the right one and sending it to me. She was amazing by keeping me posted on the order and how it was going to be mailed, even photos of my charges.
Parking: They have a large parking area.
Kid-friendliness: We personally didn't have young kids, but plenty of people around us did.

We LOVE going to eat here!! Took a bike ride there and enjoyed some wind therapy. Got there and had the catfish and it was so hot fresh and delicious!

I loved everything about this restaurant! The decor inside really gives off that authentic Colorado feel, and everything on the menu sounded so good. I had such a hard time deciding on what to order but I ended up getting the chicken fried chicken dinner with white Gravy sauce.
It was a huge portion! And the batter and seasoning tasted just like KFC, super delicious. I was dying full but I finished the entire thing lol. Also, I ordered a side of loaded mashers for the first time and now I'm obsessed!
My boyfriend basically had the same thing but the beef version. In the end I personally couldn't tell a difference, both tasted yummy. He had a side of the green chili with his and it is super spicy, so not for the faint hearted!
Tons of drink options on the menu as well. I had two beers which were ice cold and perfect after driving for hours. I really wanted dessert but I couldn't breathe in the end lol. Our server was really kind and I had a great time here!

Never miss visiting this gem when driving through Ridgeway, Colorado. Always a huge hit! Ordered the beef tip salad - everything I love (fresh mixed greens, cucumbers, grated cheese and tomatoes) in a salad topped with chunks of tender beef tips drizzled with barbeque sauce. So good salad dressing is unnecessary! Also. Ordered at our table was the BLT on fresh baked sour dough bread. It included a pile of thick cut bacon. Looked amazing! Our waitress is 5 star ⭐. Super friendly and extremely attentive. Didn't get her name but older woman who was running all the tables. Will come back - always do!
