You have to be prepared for the type of place that venerates John Wayne, who shot parts of his film True Grit around here. Lots of Wayne memorabilia. If you don't know who Wayne is, check IMDB.
The food was surprisingly good.
They were a bit understaffed which might explain why the waiter lost track of us and was slightly snippy at the end. He was fine before that
The ribeye steak was great - cooked to perfection, but a little pricey at $38.00

The 2 sides of beans were normal size, but the coleslaw side was served in a teeny tiny plastic cup the size of the free samples at Sam's or Costco.

I steak dinner, 1 Fish+Chips, no drinks, no desserts =$81. 00-
The location has film-historic value, makes you think that you're sitting at the table with John Wayne himself. If you grew up in and the era of Westerns like Bonanza, Gunsmoke and True Grit, then this is the place for you. And even if you're not from that era, if you appreciate a really good meal featuring local cuisine in a most delightful atmosphere, this is the place for you.
