My husband ordered the Pink Floyd, and me, not wanting to eat much, ordered the grilled oysters and a side salad. Place was dimly lit and full of an older clientele.

What a sad and frustrating visit to a place we used to love and respect. This place used to include salad and bread but now there's an extra charge for each. We started with the Polenta appetizer which was good. I had the fettuccine with pesto and chicken and he had the chicken parmesan. While eating our salads we noticed a server coming out with our main dishes and turn around and go back to the kitchen. We would have been ok with having the entree out early instead of when we finally received it cold with hard and cold melted cheese on the chicken parmesan. His spaghetti (side dish) and my fettuccine were both pasty and gross. My pesto was so dry I choked. The wine was the saver for the night as we toasted for his birthday and ate all the salad and the breas because our main entrees were horrible. What was supposed to be a wonderful birthday celebration turned out to be a sad experience especially for the money we spent. We walked away so bummed out.

Went there last night to celebrate mine and my husband 3 year anniversary, from the moment we walked in we were treated like family. The food was amazing and big portions and they have a long selection of wine. We had no complaints. The restaurant does require a reservation. Thank you to the wonderful staff who made our anniversary so special

First time I went to this restaurant and I ordered the stuffed trout which was delicious...the only thing left on my plate was the head?

Mid on all levels. Not recommended.Hurried server approached the table to let us know everything they were out of (which was a lot of wines and dishes), boxed croutons and a split plate charge even though they didn’t split the meal. Just brought an extra plate. It’s not so much the cost as the principle. If you’re going to charge a fee, at least have a product to back it up.Left with a bad taste, both literally & figuratively.

We had reservations for 6pm for 5. Seated promptly. Lovely wait person. Downhill from there - the lasagna was dry, fettucine was thick, not like fresh, and the sauce was not a traditional alfredo - more like flour based white sauce. We were charged for salads, and bread - not what the website showed today. Caesar salad had a vinegary dressing. Only one choice for a bottle of white wine and that was expensive. Dinner for 5 - $240. We are locals and will not be back.
Awesome place to have a nice dinner! Food was excellent as was the service. The bartender Lory makes the best tiramisu martini! We come to Salida once or twice a year and we always make sure we eat here.

art ferraro, the jagoff that "owns" this place, has been a jerk all of his life... even in school. surprised this place is still in business with his attitude & poor quality food. never paid so much for disgusting, poorly prepared food. woulda had a better dinner at sonic. i would pass on this low class establishment. but hey, if you like wasting money on garbage food, then this is your restaurant!! trust me, if art is there, you're gonna want to throat punch him. don't waste your money, this place sucks!!!

While spending one night in Salida, my wife and I had dinner at 216 Ferraro's. We wanted an Italian meal that was more than just pizza. We had checked out the menu on the restaurant website and I planned on ordering the meatless prima vera lasagna. Unfortunately, the menu at the restaurant was quite different and the only lasagnas listed contained meat. We're vegetarian, so we both ordered the eggplant parmigiana, the only vegetarian option other than the usual fettucini alfredo, etc. The food was very good, the portions were generous, and the waitress was attentive, so no problems with the meal. However, the issue of the online menu being significantly different than the actual menu was disappointing. Why can't businesses keep their websites up-to-date? It's really not that hard. One other issue we noticed is that the menu at the restaurant states that all the pasta is made with egg. While not an problem for us, it's misleading for 216 Ferraro's to highlight their vegan options on TripAdvisor when those options are limited to just a couple salads.

Go somewhere else! We will never dine here again. My birthday dinner was ruined. We have dined there many times over the years. This last year had not been like the last decade.1. The owner, Art Ferraro, stated he was “About done” when I talked to him in the one- minute discussion after our meal. I was quiet, discreet and respectful. It came through loud and clear he did not care and did not want to be there. Generally, he is not. Instead he does works at someone else's ranch in NM. He made excuses as if his problems were my problems. What does this have to do with:a. rude employees.b not disclosing at the time of the phone reservation the 1.5 hour time limit. (75% of the tables were empty when we left)c. or a sudden change in local’s birthday discount. This was not a factor in my decision to dine here We were informed now the discount is given only if your birthday is on a day they are open. They are closed Monday and Tuesday.2. Our extremely rude and obnoxious waitress interrupted our meal 4 times to inform us of how much time we had left of our 1.5 hour time limit. Maybe they should put a timer at the table to go off every 15 minutes. One of the times was when she picking up the credit card?? She aggressively tried to upsell us when we were ordering. We had decided to stay and order very little and leave instead. We we would have a long wait at another restaurant She had a childish smirk on her face when I was talking to the owner. Obviously. she knew she could treat the patrons any way she chose.
Delicious Italian food. Nice atmosphere, you need to make reservations on weekends, because not many tables available. Enjoyed this and I give it a high recommendation
The restaurant is nicely appointed and there was no waiting. Our waiter was friendly and helpful helping us to decide what to order. Out wine was delicious and our meal very good! The chicken Parmesan is enough for 2 people so we went home with a doggie bag! Great service ! Good food !!!!!!
06.30.2023Must make reservations. It is very, very small inside. Everyone is super nice. Food is pricey, but what isn't. We ate with tip for $90, and there were just 2 of usFood portions are HUGE. I don't eat a lot, and it was a waste for me bc I wound up throwing the food away....too much. I'm not saying that's a bad thing, just a lotThe bread was dense and tasty. The butter was rock solid hard (cold). I would've liked to have soft butter as it didn't spread and tore the bread upThe pasta sauce was good, but way too much on the spaghetti. It was drowned in sauce, and the pasta was too el dente. There needs to be a little less oil in the sauce, pleaseThis was our first time there while we were on vacation, and we would go back possibly againI do recommend, but stating my experience only. Give them a try and I'm sure you'll like it!!
Kid-friendliness: We saw some kids there and as long as their well behaved they would like it. Other than that, bring the electronics
Parking: Parking is near impossible when busy
Wheelchair accessibility: Step up. Makes it hard for handicap
Dietary restrictions: Very rich and oily, but somewhat tasty food

During FIBARK, we were denied service because we didn't have a reservation. We traveled a long way and this was a very last minute to eat there. There were 3 empty tables. With a huge event, you'd think they'd be flexible but they weren't or was it what we looked like?
