“I have family friends in Salida, CO and was visiting in June. Mountain Phoenix coffee was recommended to me and I can honestly say I've never tasted anything like it! It is full-bodied and has layered notes that elevates it from the average one-note coffee. I'm back East now and have it shipped because I haven't found another coffee bean that tastes the same. Highly Recommend!”

Those “golden nuggets” (aka the pork belly bites 🤤) are hands-down the best we’ve ever had, and the BBQ? Absolutely unmatched. Best around, no contest. We miss having them close, but we’re always cheering them on from afar. And anytime they’re back in Cañon City, you can bet we’re first in line for some seriously delicious BBQ. “The food is great. Been here 3x and everytime the food is on point. Tonight was my daughters birthday so we decided to come to amicas for some delicious food. We got just that. But the service wasnt as good as the food, and not even from our server. She was wonderful, especially to the kids. But the bartender, who has never served us, followed us out of the restaurant to tell us to never come back on her assumption that we didnt tip. She said that my husband (who has never been to amicas without me) has caused issues before and she thought we didnt tip. We have never had issues before.... & we left a $20 bill on the table for a tip on a 79$ tab. 18% was suggested at 16$. We gave her a little over 25%, so im not sure where she had the right to say anything to us to ruin our experience when we didnt even know who she was either.😔”

“First time here and my friends and I wanted to try it all! We settled for breakfast burritos and the best Mediterranean Salad ever, topped off with a large drip, a hot chocolate topped with whipped cream and a Bunny’s spiced latte with notes of cinnamon and nutmeg. Two thumbs up and a double snap. Love this place.”

“I purchased a loaf of bread; recommended by my relative from Gunnison. She said it was the best she ever had! I agree, stopped on my way back to. Castle Rock, it was worth taking the small detour to have this bread. I will stop on my way home next time I’m in the area.”

“This was one of the favorite places we had drinks at on our trip to Salida. We were there during the day when they were not too busy and the bartender was awesome. We stayed for a couple hours and had so much fun. Conversations with the bartender, owner and other patrons was just what we needed!! We ended up being there a few times and even had family meet us there so we could catch up while we were in town. We will definitely be back next time we are in the area!!! “WOW. I wanted comfort food and my friend brought me here. He hit the nail on the head- they literally have a comfort food section on the menu! Like green chili?! Well I love NM green chili better usually BUT this green chili is OUT OF THE PARK!!!! The server was super kind, attentive and respectful! Not to mention accommodating to some food changes. The French onion soup is the best I have had in a very long time! Maybe even better than that French bakery La Baguette in the springs! As soon as you walk in you just want to spin around and take everything in! There’s so much cool stuff to look at! Great ambiance! The sun hits just right in the windows at lunch time, and they have an epic street patio for those warmer days too! Presentation is everything and this place does an outstanding job at staging both the food and the establishment. New favorite restaurant in town! I will be back quite often while I work my way through the entire menu!”

“Saturday night of Labor Day weekend. Our server was excellent! Thank you, Sunny! We overheard another table giving her a really hard time and we don’t know why! She was so sweet.

We had the Baja fish tacos and French dip on her recommendation. They were excellent. Lucky Penny drink is top notch too. Definitely stop and give them a try!”

“4 stars is hard because it’s such a nice shop. Staff are so friendly, the chorizo burrito smothered was so good packed with flavor, pretty fair prices. The only downfall is the cold brew and drip weren’t incredible. Cold brew didn’t taste amazing and drip was just average. Had to do 4 because it’s purpose is a coffee shop but the flavor isn’t there.”

“During recent snow, I tried to get flowers from Safeway delivered via Door Dash. They could not get any drivers, so Safeway made and exception and delivered the flowers. Amazing floral department and store for their help and consideration. Hard to find that nowadays. ✅✅”
