“We were Harvest Host guests for our second time at Vino Salida Wine Cellars. After being warmly greeted and given perfect directions on where to park our RV, we sat at the bar and enjoyed a glass of Vino Rosso di Salida. My husband noticed a picture on the wall that looked very familiar to us. Brad, the friendly bartender, confirmed that the photo was of a vineyard in Palisade, CO. In fact, Vino Salida Wine Cellars sources grapes from Palisade. No wonder their wine is so delicious. Although we were their first customers that afternoon, before we finished our wine, the room was hopping with happy hour folks. Of course, we purchased wine to take back to our RV. Thanks so much for being a fabulous Harvest Host. We will be back.”
“My wife and I discovered this brewpub shortly after noon while travelling home Sunday. We were happy to learn that it was dog friendly, but it was such a windy and chilly day that we had to leave Pete in the truck and head inside. The bartender was super friendly and welcoming, and their beer selection was very good. After tasting a couple of options, we both enjoyed a pint of our choice. And the burgers from the food truck were the best! We will be back soon hopefully! I highly recommend this place!!”
“Wow - I know my coffee but was so pleasantly surprised by how perfect & delicious this cup was! The sausage roll in puff pastry was excellent with some fantastic sausage too. Highly recommend- don’t miss this local treat- every sip and bite was heavenly!”
“Totally want to come back and try this place! First, that's my name, and the food looks amazing. Also, right across the street from the best sign in colorado "elevation beer co" I read the sign as " elevation beer... colorado" I will be back to stop in and give a proper review of the place.”
“After a long day at Monarch this Thia killed it! Hit the spot for soooo long we didnt eat again till late at night! We came here based on a recommendation from a ski lift employee. He said best thia hes ever had. And I would agree. They claim to be authentic thia and boy are they. From the coffee to the apps then the entree every single thing was 5 star. They have special spicy sauces you can ask for to add to your food, to test, if you dont order it super spicy at first. I ordered the pad thia with chicken and it was so fresh and unlike any other I've had. The place inside isnt the "coolest" and doesnt have the most amazing decor but their food makes up for it.”
“A very pleasant surprise! The trout cakes were AWESOMELY DELICIOUS, the main dish of elk tenderloin was perfect and beyond tasty and done correctly. The food was a little slow coming out, but they are brand new. Shout out to DEVIN for retrieving my new hat that I inadvertently left at the table, THANKS AMIGO!”
“Greeted us immediately as soon as we walked in even though they were super busy. Pizza was great, good selection of beers, great view of the river, Nar and Ian were hustling the whole time and attentive to all their customers. Definitely recommend this place!”
“my husband and i had lunch today…it was great! lamb korma, sherpa stew, garlic cheese naan and fried vegetables with a great sauce…wonderful personal service…highly recommend…go treat yourselves! alys and jim bruffy”
“Great locally produced food. Burger and hand cut fries were awesome ?. Hands down best burger in Salida and the Upper Arkansas Valley. Eric is extremely friendly and proud of his local eatery, and a Mega Widespread Panic fan. He was extremely busy on the Saturday we experienced his food, but he took the time to chat with us on his pet friendly patio dining area. Simple but quality tasting food. We'll be back... Recommend!”
“We had dinner and dined in the restaurant. You order at the counter and then find a table. They had plenty of seating available. The pizza was delicious, I especially enjoyed the crust. The service was friendly and the pizzas came out quickly. The dining room is nothing fancy, it's a casual place with a game room in back that had a pool table and dart board. They also had good cheesy bread and offered beer on tap.Vegetarian options: They did have veggie pizzas available, we ordered one and really enjoyed it.Dietary restrictions: They offer gluten-free pizza crust”
“Festively-themed Mexican restaurant on the main drag by Salida. Beer, wine, and some cocktails served. Cash or credit card payments. English & Spanish spoken.Servers are prompt and friendly. Free salsa and chips before the meal. Salsa is basic but tasty - not too spicy and unfortunately they don't have a more spicy option.Loco Burrito is just that - insane. Literally includes all the different meat options in one burrito. Comes smothered in a melted jack cheese sauce and is massive! Street tacos are good. Lengua is tender. Al pastor has a good pineapple flavor. Carnitas is tender. Served with onions and cilantro. Only downside is you can't mix and match except on Tuesdays unless you order single, a la carte tacos (instead of the three-taco combo).Definitely recommended if you're in the area!Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options are certainly in the minority here but might be available.Parking: Plenty of parking.Kid-friendliness: Kid & family-friendly.Wheelchair accessibility: Accessible. Booths as well as table seating.”
“Out to late breakfast with Barbara! We met the most adorable couple! 60 years still in love with each other!!! Breakfast at Mojo’s eatery was orgasmicly delicious. My vegetarian omelet was cooked to perfection. Barbara's French toast looked like a work of art. We each got a mountain of yummy bacon. The art in the bathroom itself is worth the trip.”
“Really good food and friendly staff. I placed an order and they forgot to give me my fries. I don’t live too far and called after I got home. I went back and they corrected it with no problems. Highly recommend these guys.”
“Tres is THE heart of Salida now. The live music will ALWAYS be good and the beer is excellent. It is such a safe place to bring our kids in the daytime and a place we end all date nights and meet friends. Keep supporting Tres!”
“Seriously my favorite tacos on the face of this planet. And I love Shera, Esteban and their kiddos. I’d eat here for breakfast, lunch and dinner if my pocket book allowed. No joke.”
“Honestly some of the best food I’ve had in years. Consistently excellent food and service. Their Greek falafel pita, outstanding. Had the loaded Greek fries today and oh my gosh, fantastic.”
“Everything is good and as expected and I recommend, and will return when in the area. The salsa is good, they have Mexican coke. It's Mexican, not taco Bell.”
“I’m convinced this is the best bakery in Colorado. Their pastries are an amazing flakey goodness that is so hard to come by at high altitude. If that’s not enough reason to go, they’ve got great coffee to boot. Don’t leave without a danish.”
“We had a great dinner at Sushi Thai. Food so delicious and fresh specially sashimi that I never had that before. I love this place and recommended to you guys stopped and enjoyed the meal and drinks.”
“Props to the chefs, these people know how to make a Fettuccine Alfredo. I didn't try the Calzone, but the members of my party who did report they enjoyed it very much. All of us opted for the Cesar Salad, and it was very good. I felt like I had to take off a star as there were a couple staff members that seemed like they could not be bothered.”
“I love everything about this place! I drive out of my way to Salida just to come here on my trips between Durango and Denver to get a yummy sandwich and dessert to enjoy by the river just outside. Great menu, atmosphere and service. Highly recommend!”
“Breakfast was fantastic. As a southerner transplanted to Colorado (not Texas y’all i swear) I can attest the gravy was some of the best I’ve had in Colorado with amazing flavor. Good quality thick bacon. I often have an egg ick but they were cooked to perfection. I wasn’t really sure what to do with the side of spinach. Bread was totally homemade. Service was friendly. Lots of stairs, no biggie for me but of course isn’t accessible for some.In total, the basic breakfast, side of gravy and a mimosa was $30.”
“My favorite coffee shop in Salida. Great coffee, and you don’t have to deal with the commotion of downtown and trying to find parking. They’ve got really delicious chai”
“Delicious street style tacos and guacamole. Tacos made to order fresh with cilantro and onions (remove if preferred). Friendly service. Best tacos I have had in Salida.”
“Walking into Taco El Tapatío transports you into the heart of old downtown Guadalajara. The authenticity cannot be overstated, except to say, it was super autentica. I would describe the food as “Mex-Mex,” and it greatly trumps what I’ve heard referred to as “Tex-Mex.” If you’re looking for a spot that says, “hey, you elder millennials, welcome to Mexican that reminds you of your childhood,” and yet also says “the food is good,” you will be very happy with your elección.”
“I absolutely love this brewery. Great beer and also pretty good food from the permanent truck outside. Alicia was super friendly and there were a ton of locals in the place. Would highly recommend.”
“We were told to check this place out by another couple. It a transformed automotive garage trans formed ( in our opinion ) in to this nicely located restaurant.Seating outside available and it was a sunny day. This is a bustling restaurant filled with locals and visitors. It so interactive that it just feels so homy and invigorating. We ordered biscuits and gravy and the Clyde burrito. The biscuits and gravy were awesome and my dish came in a bowl with potatoes, topped with scrambled eggs, green chiles and cheese.Very very good presentation and very tasty. The coffee's were excellent as well and beans freshly ground. There are also a lot of other options of food from smoothies; fruit cups; desserts, baked goods, salads and soups. Many in gluten free or vegan styles available. Definitely a place to stop and enjoy your foods! The interior of the restaurant is very well decorated and festive”
“Nothing bad can be said about this place. The ice cream is the best I’ve ever had anywhere, period! Not as wide of a selection of flavors as a chain place like coldstone, but all of their house flavors are SO good! The location is amazing by the river downtown, and the outdoor seating and ambiance is super cool and relaxing. Despite their sometimes only being one or two people working and the place always being busy because of how good and popular it is, the service is always really good and quick as well. Definitely my favorite place in town. Personally, I recommend the salted caramel peanut butter and/or yellow cake ice cream ?”
“The food, the service( Zef is fantastic!)and the ambiance is all very good! We recommend the Garlic mushrooms and shrimp appetizer.. Best Sangria in Chaffee County!”
“I ordered the toasted Pickle Club on white, and my other half got the Gobbler on gluten-free tortilla. Both sandwiches were excellent. The ordering method is uncommon, but very effective at allowing for accurate customization of your sandwich.I'm only over near Poncha once every three months, but definitely gonna stop by this great little bar/eatery again next time.Dietary restrictions: They have a really good gluten-free tortilla option.”
