Burgers are always great. They ask how you'd like it cooked (either medium or well) which is nice. Sometimes the fries are too saltyDietary restrictions: They do have gluten free buns for the burgers which is a great option

I have lived here forever but had never tried them before as I heard the prices were too high, however I agreed to go last minute with my husband. We walked in right before 8 pm. I didn’t realize they were about to close as there were about 20 people still dining. As we looked up at the menu the gal behind the counter said, “we’re closed.” Not hello, not sorry we’re about to close, not friendly at all. We just left. So, I guess I’ll never experience the over priced 50 burger. I will never go back. They don’t seem to know the meaning of hospitality or customer service.

I decided to finally try them for the first time last Friday because I heard from friends in the past that they were decent. Ordered the Happy Jack chicken sandwich and Cottonwood burger, garlic rosemary fries, and an Alexander the Great boozy shake. I think total was around $55 - I would've rather spent this much at McDonalds for the same amount of food because it would've tasted better. Chicken was thin cut, dry, a little tough, and the entire sandwich was bland (2/10). Beef was a little dry and tough even though it looked like it was cooked properly to medium, so maybe it was stored improperly, bad quality meat, or old (entire burger 5/10)? Fries tasted old, stale, and hard, but I did like the whole garlic pieces included even though they were soggy instead of crispy (3/10). Shake was very average, but I was more disappointed seeing that it was served in a to-go cup with a straw less than half a centimeter in diameter, which makes it really difficult and unpleasant to drink something thick like a shake because you're straining so much (3/10). Order was placed to-go and they estimated 10-12 min to me over the phone, but it actually took them 30 min (wouldn't mind if the food actually tasted fresh and well-made). Whether it was just a bad day for them or the food really does suck is hard to know for sure.

Inexpensive and quick service. Great stop if you want fast food. The ramen was a large bowl and plenty to eat. We had the bulgolgi grilled chicken ramen. SO ordered a burger and onion rings. Sister ordered an orange dreamsicle float and it was soooooooo good. Our chocolate shake was large, it was brought out in 2 cups! Which was perfect for us because we shared. Staff is so friendly.

The food was amazing and came fast. The basket of fries were enough for my family of 5 to share. The atmosphere was great, the staff was so upbeat.

Not sure why this place doesn’t have an overall higher rating, I’d give it a 4.5 personally. Been here 3 times with friends and family and no one has ever been disappointed, we have all always really enjoyed the food! Great variety of burger and chicken sandwich options, the fries are massive (shareable for 3-4 people) and delicious! The onion rings are also super good. Haven’t had the milkshakes but my wife said they’re amazing. The service has always been really friendly and quick. The vibes inside are fun and cool. Given the price is comparable to everywhere else in town, this is a great place to eat with family and everyone should enjoy it!

Favorite spot in Salida to get a burger. One time we went & the lady taking our order was so nice! She even gave us a free kids drink for our toddler. It’s a little on the pricier size but the burgers are filling and if you get fries to go with it they give you a ton. Highly recommend their chicken sandwich or canyon

Uptown Sandwich was really delicious BUT impossible to eat as a sandwich. And you need to describe your onion ring monsters. Would never have ordered them had I known.
