Nice building and friendly staff. While the atmosphere is great and inside comfortable, the service and food were not the best. Service purely because they got our order wrong and we had to repeat it several times.
The food was mediocre at best. The enchiladas were maybe enchiladas given the ingredients used. The rice was oddly sweet and did not have the best flavor. Everything was edible, but I was in no way impressed by my meal. The others were much better. The best thing they have is the carnitas on fries. Which is the order they messed up on.
Worth going to for the atmosphere. Our service was most likely unique to my group. Just don't get the enchiladas or rice.

They do not have a dedicated bartender. Which they did not tell me when I asked to sit at the bar. So I ordered my drink and ended up having to cancel my order because my to go food came out first. And I waited for 20 min. Watched the servers make drinks for their own table, but didn't give a second glance to me.

Food drins and service is always good. Portions are huge. My wife and I shared a burrito and were both stuffed.
My wife had a taco salad. It was really a taco soup it was so runny. I didn’t care for the servers watching us eat. Ready to swoop in. Others places in town I rate higher.

No power at my house, but Casa Calaca had a delicious chicken enchilada special! Lovely flowers and water feature in the shade on their patio, perfect! 👌 And artwork with the sopaipillas! Caramba!!
