We visited here on our way home from a road trip out west this past summer. The views were amazing, the gondola ride was great and the food we ordered outside was good. The issue was with the guy at the ice cream counter. We went inside to look at the souvenirs and I went up to get an ice cream and asked for a scoop on a wafer cone.The grumpy man handed me a waffle cone, which I am allergic to. I told him that I had requested a wafer cone. He got mad and started yelling at me that the cone was on the house and to just take it. He kept repeating this and being condescending and rude and handed me the ice cream for free. At that point, I didn’t know what to do. I almost just left the cone on the counter, but his anger was scary and so I left and got rid of it outside. Not sure if he was having a bad day but wow, that really soured my experience that day.

Great new spot driving across the pass. Flat top, diner-style burgers and old school malts/milkshakes. Beautiful location too!
Kid-friendliness: Hard to beat a tram ride for kid friendly. Tram is also dog friendly too!
Wheelchair accessibility: Plenty of parking and ADA compliant ramp out front.
