We had breakfast at this cozy spot on the golf course and loved it! The view of the green was beautiful, peaceful and quiet, it was absolutely delightful. Tucked inside the golf course grounds, the restaurant offers a scenic view, the atmosphere is warm and cozy, with rustic decor and large windows overlooking the course.We ordered the scratch biscuit and gravy, and Eggs benedict , it was cooked to perfection — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully plated. This is the best chicken sandwich in the county. It has changed how I plan my errands in Salida. The cabin is a beautiful building and the atmosphere is perfect. I don’t golf, but I plant to be back here a lot.
The chef and staff deserve credit for the food now matching the atmosphere in the old cabin clubhouse. Daily specials are excellent and they nail the basics also, like my swiss truffle burger and fries last night. Both the beer and booze offerings lean local. Sit in front of the fire in winter or watch the golfers, sunset and mountains out the big windows facing the course. This place is well worth a visit or a revisit.
