Sushi was good and presented well. The pad Thai chicken was mainly a pound of noodles and dry chicken breast. Menu selection needs to be trimmed down. Way too much to choose from.

Food and service was good. Tried their steak, it was a bit burnt but nothing too bad. Was a little pricey though.

Ours was a take out order and I checked with the server what was in the two bags before leaving to ensure the order was correct. He repeated back what I had ordered, so I went on my way. Arriving home, could not believe how little we got for the money. Two orders of Salmon Tataki for $42 and the description says it comes "...with salad and spicy lime dressing." Now, take a look at my photo. Those four rolled up pieces of salmon, and what looks like a garnish was TWO ORDERS and cost $42! And excuse me, THAT is not ONE salad, let alone TWO SALADS; more like a garnish!
Then there was the flavor; or should I say, "lack of flavor!" The salmon was almost tasteless, little more than the flavor of salmon itself. My wife had to add lemon juice, gomasio seasoning, a little rock salt, tamari we had on hand, and it STILL was boring!
The California roll had the absolutely smallest bit of wasabi in the container I've ever encountered and the rolls themselves were subpar; on the same level (if even that) of what you'd get in the takeout fridge section at Safeway.
Tremendous disappointment; we will never patronize this place again.

Pad Thai was so so. We asked for their hot chili sauce and that improved the taste quite a bit. For some reason they dont just bring it out. Sushi was decent but we just had one roll as an appetizer. Spring rolls were fried but good. There is a lot on the menu so
Its hard to rate accurately based on just a few items. Server could have had better knowledge of the food. Fun atmosphere and good center of town location.

After receiving a great response from management, we decided to give Osake another try.
Allison was FANTASTIC. Despite being pretty packed, our service overall was really good.
We truly enjoyed the food and atmosphere. We mostly ate sashimi, which was amazing. We WILL be back! Thank you, Osake for a great response and experience.

Very yummy! Great service and staff! A little on the spendy side, but worth it!!
Our server was super sweet. I think she said she was new? The other staff seemed super sweet as well.
I just have to say, the restaurant has a major identity crisis going on. Between the Thai, Chinese, and Japanese menu and steak, it’s all a little over the place. I ordered the wild child roll, the spicy mayo was spicy American Hellmann’s mayo. Not Japanese mayo. Definitely wasn’t expecting that. My wife is Asian and I’ve worked in sushi restaurants for ever with Japanese owners. I know the difference immediately. She ordered the pan fried chow mein but it came out as a stirred fried chow mein. I ordered the fried rice, but it came out as a Vietnamese style fried rice. Definitely a Spanish kitchen that’s trying to cook Asian cuisine. Small town problems I know. The atmosphere is super cute.

wish we got to try the food. Me and my party sat in there for 20 minutes without any service so we left. Wasn’t even a busy night. Very disappointing.

I never leave reviews but this place deserves a bad review. Went in for our first time and was utterly disappointed. First off, our waiter was hungover from the night before and messed up on our order. Waited about 20 mins for our drinks for our waiter to come back and tell us he forgot about the drinks.. The teriyaki chicken tasted like it was just microwaved. Food was just not it. Crab rangoons didn’t have any crab meat and plus this place is called steak and sushi but they have no steaks?… Save your $100, prices are overpriced. Sushi was atleast decent. Never again.

Lucas was fantastic. Wife has a lot of food allergies. Lucas handled the allergies with seriousness and the food turned out great! We can't wait to get back. The food great! The service top notch! Priced very reasonable!
Dietary restrictions: Very attuned to allergies which is very important to me

Pretty awesome that a town the size of Salida can have two sushi joints. Osake feels a bit more upscale than Sushi Thai, although their menu is a bit all over the place.
Food was about as good as you’re going to get anywhere, and that’s something, considering you’re in the middle of the Rockies and far from any ocean or major metro area.
Service was prompt. Presentation was nothing crazy but certainly not sub-par. Place was clean. Nothing to complain about! Would 100% visit again.
