So, this isn't a luxury hotel, and there's no AC, there's stairs to climb to the rooms, and there’s the main road through town outside with "late night" bars playing music nearby... But, the room I was in had a decent kitchen and nice bathroom. There was plenty of space and the spa/hottubs (access included!) were surprisingly nice! I would stay here again!
We stayed in the Spa Suite for a couple of days. The owner is very nice, but doesn't allow any accommodation to their policies. We had friends that we'd been with who came down very ill, and we'd just started to show mild symptoms prior to our trip, so I called 10 days ahead of time to ask about canceling our reservation, and were told we'd be charged $250 regardless (the cost of one night). We decided to make the trip, sick and all instead of losing the money.....
We booked a suite last minute as 4 of us were supposed to tour in the San Juan’s but the avalanche hazard and associated risk changed our plans. Paul booked us in a 2 bedroom suite with a queen bed and 3 twin beds. We had a range and cooked dinner one night. Tubs were welcome for soaking too. Paul is awesome. I recommend staying here. Don’t expect a modern hotel but it’s clean and comfortable.
