What a great little spot. Staff was very friendly and attentive, views and ambience were nice. The dry aged steak was delicious and we were very happy with all three courses we ordered. Would love to go back and definitely recommend to others for a nice date night out.

No mussel, no lambchopI went to eat mussels and lamb, but it wasn't on the menu. Calamari and salmon tartar were delicious and the steak was not good. They charged 22% for service fee.

Very dissapointing. Makes me wonder if this place has a new owner. Our experience:-Restaurant required credit card for reservation. Not a problem, but if you're doing this it implies a great experience-Numerous typos on the menu (yes, should have walked out then)-Salads arrived for two people and were inedible because they were over-salted-The two people who had steaks had them arrive medium-well (barely a hint of pink) when ordered medium rare-I had the pork. It was tasteless and visually unappealingThe server did his best to take care of us but seemed frustrated with the kitchen as well.Would not go back under any circumstances.

I showed them a picture from THEIR website and said that is exactly how I make it and like it...a nice crust and a rare center. They said their photos are PHOTOSHOPPED and they cannot do steaks like that...sure enough no crust.

It's a very average steakhouse. The Caesars salad was quite average as in pretty tasteless. The 16 oz dry aged bone in rib-eye was ... also quite average. Hey it's an okay place to eat but it's a 3 not a 5.

The Caesars salad was quite average. Ahh but the 16oz dry ages bone in rib eye … also very average. Hey, it was all okay but it’s a 3 … not a 5 by a long shot.

Food is way overpriced for the quality that you get. Ordered a medium rare ribeye for $75, meat was tough and the ribeye cap was a shriveled piece of fat. Brussels sprout side was essentially boiled sprouts in a cream sauce. The bread was the lone highlight. Definitely don’t expect cheap meals in snowmass but for a limited menu and poor cooking I’d skip this one.

Great food and great people! All recommandations! We will come again next time we visit Snowmass and we can't wait to do so!

Little Mammoth is a Snowmass institution. Had a great ribeye, served on a pink salt block. Really tasty. Excellent food, excellent service, great atmosphere and decor. Enjoyed the music, which is played at a low enough volume that it does not drown out table conversation. Salads and side dishes were excellent, as was the salmon tartar appetizer. I highly recommend Little Mammoth; good for small or large groups, couples or families. Love this place.

Probably the worst steak I have ever had. I ordered the dry-aged ribeye medium rare and what they served me makes me want to find the family of the cow that was slaughtered for this beef and personally apologize because it died in vain. It was far from medium-rare, almost well done, and when the waiter asked how everything was and I mentioned it being overdone, did I receive an offer for a new steak? A comped dessert? Or really any recognition of the catastrophe that occurred? No I did not. And this is not a situation where I ate most of the steak, I had probably 1/4th of the steak cut up, with most of that being extremely well done where I managed to nibble out the somewhat medium pieces in the very middle. The crab cake was good, the fish of the day (branzino) was delicious, and there is a solid wine selection. But if you want a good steak? I’d advise going anywhere else. Probably the most disappointing dining, and largest waste of money, I’ve ever had the displeasure of experiencing.

Kicking ourselves for making the mistake of coming to dinner here. Completely average food but very overpriced: the worst value restaurant in all of Snowmass (we’ve dined at all of them). Dined as a family with 2 young kids and ended up with almost $400 bill. Salad had way too much dressing and they were out of all ribeye steaks at 6 pm. Wife and I each ordered the filet, they were totally forgettable at $65/each and tasted exactly like what you would grill at home. The seasonal vegetables were served in a small bowl, very average quality including baby carrots! No ambiance, restaurant had few patrons. Waiter was not friendly either. So many other higher quality options in Snowmass you should consider first.

We just had a great meal at Little Mammoth. I normally don’t write reviews but felt I had to share this great experience. The restaurant wasn’t busy at all when we arrived which almost made us turn away. I’m so glad we didn’t. Marian, our waitress was so kind and attentive. She also worked in the bar and made us some delicious cocktails with fries herbs she picked straight from a little herb garden! The portions were very generous. The salmon tartare is great for sharing as a starter. The bread and homemade goat cheese dip is delish! We shared the ribeye steak and it was cooked to perfection together with the truffle fries and a big green salad.I can’t believe we haven’t tried this place during our previous visits! We’ll definitely be back!Thank you!

Really good food. Salmon Tartar appetizer, weiner schnitzel, Coppola, prime rib, and trout. Every thing effect but trout was a little dry. Good wine choices. Some a bit expensive but most reasonable in price. Chocolate cake with ice cream. Great service by the European ladies. Great birthday gift for my wife.
