“This place is a gem! It is in a perfect sitting within the mall and carries a simple but purposeful vibe. It smells wonderful, like you were back at home, waiting on Sunday Supper when you enter. Definitely not fancy, but the staff quickly greets you with a warm friendly welcome smile and some great tips on what to expect. It seems like they are only willing to hype up whatever they are serving in a modest way, because they seem to really enjoy the over-the-top reactions that will follow, once the meal is served.

Seriously, I had a cup of their clam chowder, and a bowl of the Habanero Chile and pork stew, with sliced bread and butter. Wow! The clam chowder was very good, but that stew was super delicious.

It was so good, we had to go back the next evening to do it all over again. This time I ordered the Chicken and sausage stew, which was also delicious. I would have gone a third night, if I didn’t have to get back to So Cal the next morning.

The prices are very reasonable and the service is friendly, prompt and professional. I highly recommend this place and just pray they will be open when I return in October.”

But I love the verity of sandwiches as well. There are no places in Snowmass where you can get great food this fast, and that’s super kids friendly.. “We were seated promptly at arrival and had perfect people watching seats near the door. Devin was our server and she absolutely killed it. She was educated about the fish and how each fish was served. She and the server assist Gregorio (?) took great care of us! The Toro was AMAZING!”

“This restaurant has great food and great location. I had pad Thai chicken and beef. The first night I requested spicy chicken, and it wasn’t nearly as spicy as I wanted. The next night I tried the pad Thai spicy beef and asked for “extra spicy”. Now this was made perfectly with a ton of heat! Great flavor, very authentic flavors and friendly people”

Pancake lovers: try the Lemon Soufflé Pancakes, there’s just the right amount of citrus in these decadent fluffy pancakes. Vegans & avo toast lovers try the Avocado Toast. Plentiful, perfectly seasoned mashed avocado with feta & pickled onions on house baked bread is superb. Another vegan option is the Warrior Pudding Bowl, this healthy dish is super flavorful, light yet filling. Ingredients include quinoa, hemp, chia & oat. The Nell’s famous Hot Cocoa is rich, creamy & a quintessential tribute to Valrhona’s top of the heap chocolate. The recipe includes half & half, sugar, Valrhona cocoa powder & chocolate. It’s unreal! I’m a pastry fanatic so I always can’t wait to hear what flavor hand pie (pop tart esque) is on the menu. I also stash one in my ski back pack, makes the chairlift ride even more fun!”

I’m not sure how I even found this restaurant but I’m sure part of the attraction was a black owned business in Aspen. MAWA’s Kitchen is like striking gold in the mountains of Colorado. Every dish was excellent, from the Brussel Sprout Caesar to the Two Roots Sautéed Greens, pure heaven in your mouth. For our entrees Conrad chose the Red Snapper. It was served on top of some Zaalouk, which is a Moroccan salad of cooked eggplant and tomatoes. Delicious. I chose the West African Gumbo. The flavors meshed together perfectly and had a little spicy Andouille sausage to kick it up a notch. The servers were great and they even gave me a dessert for my birthday. I would definitely recommend this for a great dining experience. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Stopped by for brunch today, another excellent meal. Got to meet Mawa. Such a great place. “Very impressed. They got a lot of the authentic flavors perfectly. We loved the vegetable spring rolls, octopus, beef fried rice, and corn fritter. The chicken satay didn’t really hit for us, and while it didn’t really taste Indonesian, the beef satay was delicious! The chef also made us banana fritters that were so perfectly crispy and sweet they brought me back to my childhood.
