Great dinner for a simple night at the hotel for a parents weekend away. Quiet atmosphere!

Lovely night at Toro with my Gf, we enjoyed every dish, Marina and Oscar are the best, very attentive.

Opentable Diner

Great dinner. We loved the appetizers. Guacamole was so fresh and paired so great with our plantain chips. The sweetcorn empanadas were amazing. The burger was great. La Bomba dessert was great! Overall a great dining experience.

expensive, but worth it. they add aa 22% gratuity to each bill, but they let you know before you order and it's also printed on the bill so you remember.

We were asked to wait twice because “the table isn't ready” Other than that our experience was wonderful Service was great, food was amazing. We shared several dishes - tacos, brussel sprouts, empanadas, Mac & cheese, scallops & chocolate bomb for dessert- all amazing!

We had four people in our party and each of us ordered entrées. The main courses took very long to be delivered to our table and two of the four entrées were cold. We explained the situation to our server and expected some sort of restitution, but none was given. Not even an apology or a discount on the bill. The food was quite delicious. It's just disappointing that the service wasn't better.

Excellent food, friendly staff. Great ambiance, drinks were very good. It is expensive but high quality.

First, the menu on open table is not what you will find at the restaurant. Check their website to get the real picture. 22% service charge on the bill is ridiculous - no alternative to this. Waitress said 18% goes to servers and 4% goes to the hotel. Ludicrous, and should be disclosed up front. In my opinion, it just makes an expensive place even more expensive.....but you don't know it up front. Service was slow. Fifteen minutes to get water, and then they had to sub in another server. Another fifteen minutes to get a beer and wine. Food service was better. Food was tasty, so at least that was a redeeming factor.

Vibrant, classy ambiance from the moment you step in. Friendly attentive wait staff. We ordered many different fish dishes, (tapas style) and the 4 of us shared everything. Portion sizes were perfect for the price. A bit anti red meat but other tables were getting some great looking cow (poor cows). Started with the guac for the table and ended with sharing the La Bomba! Amazing! Will definitely be visiting again!

Had dinner tonight at Toro and really enjoyed the experience. Met the manager, Oscar… our server was John… and his assistant was a fine young, gracious man named Igor. We ate light after a day of travel and the bison burger was good. We split a salad and my wife had a bowl of chicken noodle soup (which isn’t on the menu). Finished with some ice cream and fruit. My opinion is the atmosphere is wonderful (recently remodeled), the food is good and service was very attentive. Pricing seemed high but is expected when eating at nice resort areas.

While the Viceroy hotel stands out as one of the premier accommodations in Snowmass, the same cannot be said for its on-site restaurant, TORO Kitchen. Unfortunately, this dining establishment falls short of expectations and might be a place you would want to skip altogether, ultimately saving you some money.

The menu at TORO Kitchen is priced at a premium, but, regrettably, the quality of the food does not match the high cost. Dining here, you’ll find that the dishes are merely average, lacking the creativity and flavor that one would anticipate from an upscale venue.

Additionally, the service leaves much to be desired, as it is noticeably slow. However, it is worth mentioning that the staff members are genuinely kind and friendly, doing their best to create a welcoming atmosphere despite the delays.

It’s quite disappointing because the interior of the restaurant is truly beautiful, featuring a design that would elevate any dining experience. If you’re seeking a truly upscale and memorable dining experience in Snowmass, I would not recommend TORO Kitchen. There are certainly better options to explore in the area.

I'm actually shocked by the reviews on this restaurant. We were here over the weekend and ate here three times. Dinner and breakfast was fantastic. Service left a little to be desired, but the food definitely made up for it. Very expensive but you're in snowmass. Would definitely come back.

Recently renovated swanky lobby bar and restaurant at the Viceroy hotel in Snowmass Village. Inventive and delicious food and drink options combined with top-notch service. A very special place...

Toro was an incredible experience- filled with atmosphere, flavor and great people. Don’t be fooled by some of the negative reviews, as most of them complain about the cost and apparent “bad” service. The cost…well…you’re in Aspen/ Snowmass. If you didn’t come here to spend money, you should probably find another vacation spot.

Re: the service, we did not have this issue at all. I worked in restaurants for 15 years and would say I am sensitive to poor service, we didn’t feel that here. The staff was super attentive and kind (our server was Elsa, she was an absolute delight).

The food was amazing- lots of flavor and very diverse. The ceviche was fresh and flavorful, the sushi rolls were creative and balanced, the chicken was perfectly cooked and seasoned. Dessert was amazing- rum soaked carrot cake and churros!

Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal here and would absolutely return. 10/10.
