I use to go to 8th Street when I was a kid, then when I lived in Steamboat as a college kid, but tonight I brought my family and loved every moment! The food is delicious and the kids had an absolute blast cooking their steaks! Meat is always top shelf and people are wonderful!! So glad this restaurant is still open and hasn't changed their ways!

There is no downside. From apps to sides to meat to dessert to wine selections. There was no “this could have been better” moment. And is was our second visit, so it wasn’t a fluke. We’ll be back (if we do another week in Steamboat next year.

I love this place. The meat is great quality, the salad’s are fantastic, the sides and appetizers are substantial and delicious and their 8th St. Ice Cream Tater is heavenly.I stop here every time I visit Steamboat, and I can’t imagine that trend ending.

The best part about this place was what we did ourselves. The hostess was rude and served us water in warm cups. She did not acknowledge us. Our server was great, but that’s about it. The steaks were overly fatty and took up most of the steak. They serve free salad, but I saw a server pick up the salad lid off the floor and put it back on the salad like nothing happened. The garlic mashed potatoes were solid but couldn’t top the veggies we made ourselves. Not worth your time or money

Holy cow. Just has the most legendary, horrible, disgusting, bad experience ever found at a restaurant. The manager JOEL who gave us a fake name of John was openly cussing to his staff around children, came and took our waitress away and said that we could wait so she could go serve alcohol to another table. We were trying to settle our bill and have a sick kid. Joel said that he has a sick kid too? Joel seemed like he was ready to fight us?? Note that we are not a hostile group or heavy drinkers. I have never in my life seen such behavior, his staff are obviously terrified of him. I will make sure that anyone I ever see on the mountain knows to NEVER step foot within a half mile of this place. I cannot imagine a worst possible dining experience to being my family into such a hostile environment.

The staff and high-quality steaks that we got to cook ourselves on their open grill made for a super fun night :) Love that all their meat is free-range, grass-fed.
