“Excellent meal and drinks. High end wine selections. Great service from the bartender and wait staff. Would definitely go back. Make a reservation at least the day before if you want 6-7 seatings.”
“It is really good authentic food, I love the butter chicken. The service is really quick, and the employees are nice. The restaurant is a really cool place to be at, with really cool Indian decoration.”
“My husband and I discovered Besame in the local mountain magazine so I checked their instagram out and I knew instantly I wanted to go!The atmosphere, the service, the cocktails, the art were all amazing! The Brussels are hands down the best I have ever had, if you’re a brussel lover then I highly recommend these! The mass empanadas were absolutely delicious! My gin cocktail was perfect! We shared the individual paella which could’ve easily been enough for three people, provided tapas was had beforehand. It’s extremely strong in a seafood flavor, so if you’re are not a seafood lover than it’s certainly not for you. A bit much for me, but it was still delicious! All in all, it was a delicious experience all together! I’ll certainly be back! There were so many things I still wished to try!”
“Food can get pretty expensive here but everything is great. Pizza looks good if you want a more affordable. Make reservations online ahead of time. Good portion.”
“The Bistro Steak was amazing. The steak was cooked a perfect medium rare. The seasoning on the steak was delicious and the sauce was also amazing. Mashed potatoes were delicious as well. The veggies were done nicely and everything went together very nicely and all came out and nice and hot.”

“Our favorite place to hit when we go to Steamboat. The old-time saloon feel is fun and rustic. The menu is not overwhelming but covers a few different food genres so they have a little bit of everything. The drink menu is well crafted and they have some unique cocktails on the menu. I had the spicy margarita and it was awesome! If it’s busy season you will need reservations, lucky for us we are visiting at the end of ski season so we did not have to wait for a table. If you’re looking for a good spot for dinner, this is it!Parking: Spots available on the street and along the side of the building”
“The mussels are amazing! Delicious kids mac and cheese. Portions are not too big. We split a burger and the kitchen staff split it for us and put on separate plates before bringing it to the table which was really kind. Excellent, friendly service. Highly recommend!Vegetarian options: Impossible burger, saladsKid-friendliness: Kids menu, good portions, cookie included”
“I was pretty disappointed with the food quality. It was ok, but the meat taste and texture was low grade. For price point and area, I expected better. I was confirmed it’s likely cheap when I went to the bathroom and they give you a quarter of a paper towel in the machine, trying to save costs, so ya get to waive your hand in front of 5 times to get enough paper towel to dry your hands.. that summed up what type of ingredients they use imo. Queso was good and had good flavor.Again it was fine, my marg was good, atmosphere is good, but not blown away. 3 star tacos, 4 star overall spot.”

“Absolutely phenomenal dining experience here. We were lucky enough to find 3 bar seats open and had Ryan as our bartender. He was fantastic and just all around the man! We let him chose a bunch of things for us and all of them were great. The pork belly was definitely my favorite but the tuna tartare & elk tips were amazing as well. It was so good in fact that we ended up going back a couple days later. Highly reccomend going here if you get a chance, you will not regret it!”
“Wonderful breakfast menu...Traditional and creative options. Great barrista (I like the chai). I also like that you can make a 1/2 order on their eggs Benedict, if you aren't super hungry (shown in image).”

“Fun place with great food and service. We went on Easter so the wait was long, but there's shops and the river nearby to wait for the text. It's worth the wait if there is one. Get the cinnamon roll, the biscuit was really moist and held up as a sandwich.”
“My favorite brunch place at Steamboat Springs. I’ve been here twice now and it doesn’t disappoint. The food is delicious and the service is great. Highly recommend!”
“Authentic, delicious Jamaican food was NOT on my bingo card for a mountain town in Colorado, but here it is. Soooo good!! I got the jerk pork with 'festival' and fried plantains, and all 3 were absolutely fantastic. This is a must-go next time we visit Steamboat Springs.”

“Delicious food, friendly service and staff. Quickly becoming one of our early stops when in Steamboat.Vegetarian options: Great falafel, several options, other vegetarian options too.”

“Awesome little spot, authentic food, we had a big group and we basically ordered everything on the menu and everyone was stoked on the food. Grab a tequila at the bar while you wait, service was fast, owner baked fresh sourdough in the am too!”
“We dined our first night in Steamboat after a very long travel day. We started with Manhattan cocktails which were quite good. The 6 of us settled on sharing pear or beet salads and then Elk au Poivre. All were excellent. A few of us paired dinner with a glass of local red wine, also nice. Our server was very attentive throughout dinner. However, after we'd finished and let him know dessert wasn't an option, he sort of disappeared. We sat there for 20+ minutes waiting for our bill, finally tracking him down at the bar to request it. Not the end of the world, but it did diminish an otherwise excellent dining experience. I plan on going back.”
“A chill, clean, modern atmosphere with good drinks. The root beer was great! The Mrs. Robinson (their version of Dr. Pepper) was refreshing as well. A good place to unwind after skiing. Will definitely come back.”

“The food was good. Your normal small plate, not a lot of food type of place. We knew this going in though. Great flavor, pretty plates, and quality ingredients. Bread with every course, so you do fill up.Our server was terrible. We sat for at least 20 minutes before even getting a drink, with him walking by and not even looking at us. I had to waive down another server and ask what was going on.. when our guy came and I gave him an earful, I got no apology or even excuse. Not the service you want in a place like this. Maybe it goes better next time, that was our experience. Give it a try.”
“For nearly a decade, I've been a loyal patron of the Drunken Onion, a culinary gem renowned for its exceptional Capri Sandwiches and Tiramisu. Each visit reaffirms my love for this place and its extraordinary cuisine. The Capri Sandwich is, simply put, a masterpiece. The bread, always fresh and perfectly toasted, provides a delightful crunch that contrasts with the tender, flavorful fillings. The sandwich is generously stacked with high-quality ingredients - succulent meats, ripe tomatoes, and just the right amount of seasoning. What truly sets it apart is the harmonious blend of flavors; each bite is a testament to the skill and care put into its preparation. Then there's the Tiramisu. This dessert is a dream for any sweet-toothed aficionado. It strikes a flawless balance between the boldness of coffee and the subtle sweetness of mascarpone cheese. The layers are impeccably structured, offering a creamy, melt-in-your-mouth texture that's both comforting and indulgent. It's not just a dessert; it's an experience, one that brings a perfect close to any meal. What amplifies the allure of the Drunken Onion is not just the food, but the ambiance and service. The staff are warm and welcoming, creating an atmosphere that feels both familiar and sophisticated. It's the kind of place where you're greeted with a smile and where every meal feels special.the Drunken Onion isn't just a restaurant; it's a haven for those who appreciate fine sandwiches and exquisite desserts. After ten years of consistent quality and enjoyment, I can wholeheartedly say it remains a cut above the rest.”
“Thank you Shay and Christopher and entire Primrose staff for a great dinner out tonight. Fresh flavors (I swear the shrimp was spiked with buzz-buttons!) And fantastic drinks. Energy all around was attentive and kind. Seemed like we were being taken care of all around and truly enjoyed our small plates at happy hour. When we come back to Steamboat we will come back!”
“Been here multiple times (100s?) … always a good experience except this time the blond bartender girl was pretty nasty. Also wondering if she chose to tip herself because every other time I get the option to leave a tip - but this time she didn’t give me the kiosk ?”
“I would like to preface by saying that I am not a huge fan of Italian food. But this restaurant? Amazing. The service was great, the food was fantastic, the drinks were lovely. I am very happy to have gotten to try this place out!”
“We wandered in in search of a salad for my wife. The Winter Salad was excellent as was the brisket quesadilla! Lauren took great care of us as we basked in the sun and listened to the river and the snowmelt. Great way to spend time in the afternoon.”
“I've been coming here for over 10 years. It is the highlight of my time in steamboat. Sending so much love from Austin! Y'all are incredible and make the dopest food.”
“Can’t say enough good things about this place! Cole took care of me at the bar and made the experience an enjoyable one! I will be back. Make sure to get the truffle fries. Great for sharing.”
“I showed up on the wrong date, and the staff was so accommodating. We sat at the bar where Cory took great care of us while she was bartending. She knew the menu cold, and made some great suggestions. The food was amazing! Love the whole concept and will be a favorite in Steamboat!”
“We celebrated some dear friends' engagement in the private, Katherine Harwigs Room in February and had a wonderful time! JJ went above and beyond to develop a special menu for the evening, we were able to decorate the space and Chris, our server, was very accommodating. The food, atmosphere and service made it such a memorable evening!”
“A true hidden gem in Steamboat. Private, educational wine tasting in a super cozy lounge at the base of the mountain. Andre was incredibly informative and fun to talk to. We can't wait to come back in the winter time.”
“Solid pizza spot, very fast service. We ordered two large salads, an XL Steamboat Pizza and Pasta Florentine split between four people. It was plenty! There wasn’t a long wait and service was fast.”
“Perfect little lodge on the mountain to stop for a break or a meal. There are plenty of menu options. The pot pie and chili are both awesome options to warm you up on a cold day. There’s a big fireplace you can sit in front of, as well as a bar to warm you up from the inside out. I only wish they had better options for snack bars. The Stinger protein bars are the only option and they’re awful, chalky, first generation protein bars.”
“Kids went down, ordered and had a drink while they waited for the food to bring home. They said the ordering was a little confusing and different but the atmosphere and vibe was cool. Staff was not the kindest (I give this one a hall pass because how hard it is to find staff). Now for the food - was absolutely fantastic for slope side grub. Pizza, fries and wraps were excellent, however the wings stole show, outstanding!”

“Busy day in Downtown Steamboat so we stopped here for lunch after being turned away at a few other places due to it being busy. The shack was also busy when we arrived but we got the next table. Service was friendly and excelled and oh my gosh the prices were incredible compared to other places in Steamboat. I got the fish and chips with sweet potato fries, friends got the French dip and a salad with chili. All was delicious. We even came back for breakfast the following day because we loved this little gem.”
“Located at the bottom of commons food hall. Took a minute to learn the ropes bc it’s very different from the food halls in ATL. Amazing pizza!Kid-friendliness: Kids went nuts for the margarita and cheese pizzas!!”

Looking to go back and get happy hour and try the pizza next.Vegetarian options: They have spicy lentil taco that looked yummy”
“Best sandwich shop in town. I find myself visiting 4 times a week for either breakfast or lunch. If you get the toastie Carnitas I recommend getting the tomato bisque to accompany it as it is amazing to dip in. Absolutely heavenly on the taste buds. All breakfast sandwiches are superb as well.”

“A superior donut.I wish they made a cider donut, but what they have is fantastic. If you get there early enough to get a fresh raised donut...it's better than Krispy Kreme by a large margin.”

Drive-Thru Restaurants
“The HOT chicken is medium at best, really just a mild. These people need to go to Mico’s in Houston or anywhere in Nashville and have a “hypnotic hot” that isn’t just Wendy’s spicy.Chicken is tender, moist and perfectly cooked, just NOT HOT.Please add a hot item. It is “Colorado hot”, but definitely not Nashville. You are a medium at restaurants that have hot and very hot. Miles away from anything that would be a “challenge”, really go to Tumble 88 or Nico’s and you would be a mild.Pa your habanero sauce is ok, but to be Nashville it needs to be in the coating.”
“Ordered delivery and it was freaky fast! They called to inform us that they were out of bottled lemonade which was super courteous. Dined in our 2nd time and it was great. Inside is nice and modern. Where are the napkins though?”
“Went through drive thru and ate in vehicle in between appointments for my neighbor who is in a wheelchair. It was good although she didn't get wjat she thought she was getting but she said it was good.”
“Mcdonald's has really good food those customers are so nice, the Big Mac is Bussin the Quarter Pounders are delicious, the French fries, are good and salty, and Chicken Mcnuggets are bussin I would love to go back there again!!”

Ragnar's
“After skiing all morning this is the best pace to rest your ski legs. Only accessible by skiing from the south mountain at Steamboat Mountain. Named after a famous ski jumper Ragnar's offers Scandinavian menu! The Onion Soup cannot be missed! Legendary Bloody Mary's! The Ruben is also delish! The service is great. Get there early because there is usually a wait.”
Cheap Eats
“You don’t expect to find a taco shop like this in a place like steamboat. They’re legit. Full stop. From the interactions to the food. You don’t expect tacos this good in Denver. Or Houston. But maybe in Mexico City.Do them a favor and tip 25% for all the things. Holy. Forking. Cows. Great food. Great service. Don’t think. Just do.Grab some Al pastor and sit by the river and enjoy. Better than any restaurant in town.”
“My fiance and I came in on a whim and had a blast! The live band was phenomenal and the drinks were expertly made. We ended up bringing in our friends a few more times on our trip! Will definitely make this a go to ”
“We loved everything about this place! We got espresso shots, lattes, chai, and matcha. And we loved it all! Didn't order any food but the everything bagel breakfast sandwich they were making smelled heavenly. Great service we had the same barista 2 days in a row she was fantastic!”

“Food was excellent and fresh with lots of veggies, our waiter was attentive, and our food service was timely.Vegetarian options: Tofu is offered as a protein option in the majority of the entrees”
“The food is always good the service is always good ... but you have to deal with the snobbish people from time to time I personally don't live in steamboat so I don't have to put up with it really but all that aside everytime I'm in town and I work in steamboat a lot this is where I come to eat !!!! For sure!!!”
“Came in for pool, Silver was killing it with the music and her drinks were ?? would definitely recommend this place for a chill night or a fun night out or simply for the ”
“This place is awesome. Instant Steamboat Staple. The GM is such a caring person too - great at taking care of people. Love supporting good places and good people.”
“Excellent BBQ. The staff was extremely nice and even gave my 3 year old some a Moe’s sticker. If they have the jalepeno grits that day they are a must have!! Pulled pork and chicken were excellent! In town for the week and if we come back we will definitely be coming back to Moe’s.Kid-friendliness: They have a chalk wall for the kids to draw on and the staff were very kid friendly!”
“Came for a quick breakfast. I got a cinnamon roll and a cup of coffee. It was tasty. They had about 12 different pastries. It seems everyone loves their almond croissant because it was sold out by 7:30am on a Saturday. The place isn't too busy. At least not before 8am on a Saturday. They have 4 tables, 2 4 seaters and 2 2 seaters. The cinnamon roll and coffee were good. I'd come here again.”
“Stopped in for an afternoon pick-me-up at Big Iron Coffee. Baristas were friendly and welcoming. I ordered my usual latte which was delicious, hot and decorated with a foamy heart on top! So great to see the support of local art for sale displayed on the walls. Plenty of seating inside on a cold day like today with some seating out in the courtyard as well for warmer days I’m sure. The small seating areas were cozy although chairs are well worn. As we weren’t hungry, we didn’t order any of the lovely pastries. Although the family sitting next to us had ordered some delicious looking breakfast bagels! I would return for another cup of coffee and a pastry next time I’m in Steamboat!”
“This place has some of the best burritos. The sauce/salsa is so delicious! We bring our dog Jazzy and eat outside. Sometimes she gets a bit, she likes it too. When I'm heading to Ace and hungry, this is my favorite!”
“Great food and service every time I visit. Probably best $8 marg in town! For being pre-mixed they are outstanding. One word of caution, they have a chili oil/hot sauce that I put on my tacos. Go light to start my friends. I went big because it is delicious, but paid the price on the way out if you know what I mean, ouch!!!”
“This is an awesome spot for celiacs that must eat gluten free. Every thing in there is and they bake everything on premise to stop cross contamination. We went in there a couple of days ago and they were super nice and helpful, they were super patient as we looked at everything they had while still baking in the background which was great to see. My Celiac wife was delighted with the cupcakes and savoury items she got. I also got a chocolate slice there with a coffee with it and was happy even though I only eat GF sometimes. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area. The super friendly staff even gave us recommendations for some other Celiac friendly spots. They also have vegan options.Vegetarian options: They knew everything that was vegan and vegetarian as the people serving are the people making the items.Dietary restrictions: Celiac safe bakery with savoury and sweet options”
“Brooklyn's Pizza earns a well-deserved 5-star rating from me, not just for its delectable pizza but also for the warm, welcoming atmosphere it consistently provides. The staff at Brooklyn's are remarkably friendly, going above and beyond to ensure every visit is memorable. What sets this place apart for me is the communal vibe; it's a gathering spot where I inevitably bump into friends every time I visit, enhancing the dining experience. The pizza itself is simply delicious, featuring a perfect blend of flavors on a superb crust. Brooklyn's Pizza truly stands out as a community hub where great food and great company are guaranteed.”

“Just tried their new dinner service. Impressed. Five-star hangar steak, creative 1sts, and creative cocktails. Happy Hour pricing makes it quite reasonable, as YVK is otherwise pricey.”
“Our server, Sofia, was wonderful, pleasant, efficient, friendly. The food was above expectations, came out hot and quickly, delicious vegetarian options, the margarita was delicious. Great! we would go back again in a heartbeat. Has some unusual options I had not seen in a Mexican restaurant previously. Great atmosphere, too.”
“I showed up on the wrong date, and the staff was so accommodating. We sat at the bar where Cory took great care of us while she was bartending. She knew the menu cold, and made some great suggestions. The food was amazing! Love the whole concept and will be a favorite in Steamboat!”

“Whether one sandwich or 40, Yampa Sandwich Company is always yummy! It's no secret why it's the most popular sandwich downtown. Every employee there is super helpful, and every time my sandwich is made exactly the same and to perfection! My fave is the Bushwaker, but they're all great. Don't sleep on the awesome iced tea flavors too!”
“This place is great. It’s a great place to warm up when your fingers and toes get cold in the mountain. They have a ton of food selections. The service is great.”
“We were staying up the hill, so it was a good location. Not to crowded on a Sunday evening, but it was a nice chill vibe and dog friendly. Met a couple of sweet pooches. Liked the Seinfeld references. Although I started with the Gourd Intentions. It is almost Fall, and I do love the smells. I could have just sniffed it all night. I also enjoyed an Urban Sombrero for something lighter. Dad indulged in 3 Hot Mess Expresses because he enjoyed it so much. Not much parking, but it's a short walk from most areas of the resort. We also got to see some local wildlife in the form of a turkey just mosseying across the road. ?”
“Food and selection is good and of course you can't beat the location! It comes with the territory, but crazy busy midday and a chore to find a place to sit.”

“3 went for dinner. BLT wedge salad and warm spinach salads were great. The bison and 8 oz filet were cooked a perfection. Desserts and accompanying port were fantastic. The only complaint is the finishing of parmesan/ horseradish was tasteless/horrific. They made the 8 oz fillet into a cheeseburger. At the prices they charge, that is unconscionable. So go, spend a lot of money, just don't get any finishes on your steak.”
“There is no downside. From apps to sides to meat to dessert to wine selections. There was no “this could have been better” moment. And is was our second visit, so it wasn’t a fluke. We’ll be back (if we do another week in Steamboat next year.”
“The food was so over top delicious. Gastronomic delight. We had the rolls with sweet butter, tomato bisque soup, roasted beet salad, and braised short rib. There were so many other choices we would have liked to try but didn't have room. Beautiful painting gs on the wall. Great view of the Yampa River next to the restaurant and Howelson Hill. There's a yurt for a large private party. Outdoor fireplace. Beautiful lounge/bar area also.”
“Excellent burgers!! Our waitstaff had great recommendations! I wish I had room to try more of their menu because everything looked awesome. Will definitely be back next time we come to steamboat.”
“5 Stars on a BUSY Saturday night. Carl's did not miss a beat. We walked in during prime time without a reservation and they graciously created a table in the way back. Our server was very attentive and came to take our drink and appetizer orders fairly quickly. Who ever is running this restaurant, the chef and whoever is responsible for ops and the team should win an award. Everyone worked together, things ran smoothly and the all the food we ordered was excellent. We started with the Crispy Brussel Sprout Leaves - MUST HAVE! We then had a Wedge salad, Adult Grilled Cheese and Hamburgers with a great Char and flavor. See pictures of the bar it is quite extensive especially if you love bourbon and whisky - so many choices. I love an old-fashioned and they had so many very interesting options to choose from. Great for families.”
“Wonderful breakfast menu...Traditional and creative options. Great barrista (I like the chai). I also like that you can make a 1/2 order on their eggs Benedict, if you aren't super hungry (shown in image).”
“This place is excellent! Highly recommended! Amazing sushi and sashimi! Best wagyu I've ever had. I usually don't like salmon, but I loved their salmon- so fresh and tasty! And the tuna...spectacular!! Get the spicy tuna citrus roll - you won't be disappointed!!!”
“Fun place with great food and service. We went on Easter so the wait was long, but there's shops and the river nearby to wait for the text. It's worth the wait if there is one. Get the cinnamon roll, the biscuit was really moist and held up as a sandwich.”
“Came in for pool, Silver was killing it with the music and her drinks were ?? would definitely recommend this place for a chill night or a fun night out or simply for the ”
“Awesome little spot, authentic food, we had a big group and we basically ordered everything on the menu and everyone was stoked on the food. Grab a tequila at the bar while you wait, service was fast, owner baked fresh sourdough in the am too!”
“They Serve Breakfast now! So delicious. I ordered the Huevos Rancheros. Fresh and delicious. Service is fast, friendly, welcoming. Atmosphere is clean, relaxed and traditional.”
“My favorite brunch place at Steamboat Springs. I’ve been here twice now and it doesn’t disappoint. The food is delicious and the service is great. Highly recommend!”
“Great place to stop if you're skiing and steamboat! My friend and I sat at the bar, the server was super attentive and very friendly. They also have live music for the lunch crowd. I ordered the burger and two espresso martinis. We also got some lemon drop shots and regular tequila shots. Definitely a fun place to go after a long day of ski and snow.”
“What a wonderful surprise! As native Texans and Mexican food lovers, we were thrilled to find that SB has a true authentic Mexican food restaurant! We love the cozy vibe downstairs. We had great service from Jasmine, and the margaritas were fantastic. There are some true authentic menu items not found anywhere else in town. Great tacos and enchiladas, sauces, etc. I'd love to keep this Steamboat's best kept foodie secret, but the news is too good not to share. Can't wait to go back.”
