Very helpful, courteous staff.
We had excellent service and the patio was quiet and beautiful. The food was excellent. The salad bar was one of the best we've ever had and such a surprise in this day and age. Everything was fresh and there was a good variety! Our server did a great job explaining things on the menu and recommended a great side that we all enjoyed. She was so good! In addition to the delicious food (our steak was cooked perfectly and everything came out hot), we had a surprise dinner guest which...read full review

The Ore House at the Pine Grove offers a pleasant dining experience with delicious food and outstanding service. The restaurant features a nice environment and a highlight is the salad bar, which offers a variety of homemade dressing options like wasabi-ranch. The Prime Rib special is a great value, and the seasonal special is even better. Guests can enjoy warm dinner rolls, cinnamon rolls, baked potatoes, and steamed broccoli. The food selection includes tasty options like chipotle/raspberry salmon and surf & turf with lobster. While the availability of certain dishes and drinks may be limited, and table reservations can sometimes be an issue, the overall experience is often memorable, making it a place worth returning to. The service is praised for being friendly and knowledgeable, though some guests have noted issues with tipping expectations from certain servers. It's a popular spot, especially during the early dining hours, so a reservation is recommended. Recently, the restaurant has featured fall specials such as prime rib, salad bar, and cinnamon rolls for $19.95 for six weeks, and the staff and ambiance continue to be exceptional. However, some guests have had disappointing experiences, such as a birthday dinner where pork chops were too salty and the waiter did not check on the table, leading to dissatisfaction despite the restaurant's usual reputation. On the other hand, those who enjoy prime rib find it to be delicious and better than at other places, although some side dishes like asparagus and fried potato balls may not meet expectations. Overall, the restaurant remains a popular choice for special occasions and good food.
