I had the herb roasted chicken which was a generous portion, cooked beautifully with such amazing flavor and served with fresh squash, roasted potatoes in a savory sauce. “Yampa Valley Kitchen is a nice choice for a step up for a celebratory dinner. The food is very good with creative, fresh and local flavors. Some of the servings were quite small for example, a vegetable and cheese appetizer was about the third of the food for the same price as a vegetable and cheese salad that was much larger. They do a pretty good job of accommodating a variety of dietary needs. The atmosphere is pleasant. It’s a beautiful old house that has been nicely converted. I would suggest for the upscale experience that they are going for that they do not have their staff wear T-shirts. Also for a party of eight with a large bill it would’ve been a nice inappropriate gesture if they had comped the $20 dessert rather than just suggesting that we buy the $20 dessert for a birthday celebration. If you’re looking for a place for a nicer meal in steamboat with a wide range of dietary needs without extraordinarily outlanders prices, Yampa Valley kitchen will serve well.“

“I just received an order of muffins and brownies and it arrived quickly and everything looks delicious. I have already had a chocolate cherry muffin and it was amazing. It is by far the best muffin I’ve had in a very long time. I can’t wait to try all of the other flavors and the wonderful looking brownies. I highly recommend them.“

“Came to Ocean Dragon by myself for sushi and really enjoyed it! The boat platter looked great, the sashimi was super fresh, and the rolls tasted delicious. Pairing it with sake made it feel special. Friendly service and a relaxing vibe — even solo dining was nice.
