“We happened on to the Saloon while attending the Saturday Farmers Market in Minturn. On our last night in the Vail Valley we went for dinner. It was exceptional. Cat our server was excellent. The chips and salsa with guacamole were perfect. But the star of the show was the Waygu Flatiron Steak. This is a don't miss if you enjoy beef. And finally the Cast Iron Cookie was also a home run. “This place has good food for the price. I had thought there would be more table service, but it ended up being more “order at the counter and listen for your name” type of place. I tend to tip a bit less at these places because they do far less work/service, but the food was still good. We enjoyed our time but would have liked more service for the price.“

“Been to this nice restaurant many times and it’s always first class. Tonight my wife’s chicken was excellent. The wine was great. However, the Manhattan steak was not so good. The one that was brought out was extremely tough and even hard to cut into. Our lovely server offered to bring out a new one but I said I would fight through it. To her credit, she insisted on bringing out a new one and I asked for it to be Medallion cut. The replacement came out and should have been medium rare, but when I laid out the cuts it was simply very rare to raw with lots of fat as well. I simply refused to eat it and told her to just take it off the bill. To my surprise the wonderful Manager Dana immediately came over and admitted that they failed on the steak. He explained that they usually get great cuts from the provider, but recently not so much and he actually called the owner and told him they simply can’t be offering this kind of steak as this was not the first bad cut he has seen this evening. Dana did not charge me for the steak as well as the wine and offered a free desert. Dana did exactly what I’d expect a Manager to do in this caliber of a restaurant and that alone makes me want to come back again whichever we will do so!“

“I live in Avon and Northside is one of my go to places. They have a fantastic happy hour with Kat at the bar. Not only does she pour a great cocktail, bit is attentive and on the ball. She knows how to keep her customers happy. They should be thrilled to have her. The drinks are prefect and the food yummy. Better than most over the top expensive places in downtown Vail.“

“Breakfast at Ludwig’s was a great start to every morning during my stay. The atrium is beautiful, especially with the fall colors and views of the creek. The buffet selection was extensive and delicious, and the service was great—all the ladies who looked after me were lovely.

The buffet was included in my stay, which I really appreciated. I’m not sure I would have paid $42 for it otherwise, but I thoroughly enjoyed the food, setting, and warm service.“

“We celebrated my husband's birthday at Elway's and it was fantastic! He got the New York strip steak. It was cooked perfectly and he ate every single bite! He also enjoyed the mashed potatoes. I had the house salad which was simply delicious. I also had the coconut shrimp. There were 3 huge shrimp with a tasty slaw which included cashews. “Update...we've dined at Gessner's dozens of times during our visits to the Grand Hyatt Vail. This is the main restaurant on property, they serve breakfast, apres, and dinner. We've mostly had breakfast and apres here over the years but all in all this is a great restaurant located within the hotel. The food is always solid and I think the service has gotten better throughout the years we have been visiting this establishment....

The food is outstanding at Gessner's. The restaurant is located in the Grand Hyatt, the restaurant and hotel are both stunningly beautiful. We like dining out in the lobby area after a long day of skiing, highly recommend!“

“Many people booked outside seating as did we and then the rain started and everyone requested inside. The wait staff, hostess and every other employee hustled to get everyone seated in a short time. They did an amazing job. Food was tasty, limited selection but solid on flavor. Our server was wonderful. Tavern on the Square is always on our list for dining during our annual summer visits.“
