“Loved the food here and ambiance. Truly authentic Swiss food coming from someone who has been to Switzerland many times and loves a good rösti! We ordered fondue, kasespetzel, schnitzel, rösti with veal & ended off with apple strudel of course! Will be coming back next time I'm in Vail.“

“This tiny Thai/Chinese restaurant in Vail (Lion's Head) is a total hidden gem. With only about eight tables, it feels cozy and intimate — almost like you’ve been invited into someone’s home for dinner. So glad that we stumbled upon it!
We were only in Vail for five days and ate here twice because it was that good. The Tom Yum Soup was the best I’ve ever had (and I live in the DC area, where great Thai food is easy to find). Every dish was packed with flavor and felt authentic and comforting.
If you’re expecting resort-level ambiance and polished service, this isn’t that. It’s casual, welcoming, and all about the food. And the food alone makes it absolutely worth it — especially after a long day on the mountain.“

“On the receipt it said our server was Raul. He was awesome and made an iced espresso that my girlfriend thought was much better than Starbucks. The coffee creation was on the house… even the second one. The breakfast was very good and priced fairly. Because of it all, left a little over 50% tip and happy. Well done.“

“The bbq pizza was the best pizza I have ever had. The waiter was a little under par. He just wasn't as attentive to us as he was others. We ordered 2 beers he only brought one. And when we said we wanted 2. He had a attitude. But then apologized right before he brought the bill.“

“Definitely popular based on the line out the door each time we visited, even on a mid-afternoon weekday with rain and temps in the 50s. We still were served pretty quickly and the ice cream was tasty!

“This was our first visit to Mountain Standard and we all loved it. The food was excellent and the service was too. I had the Angus Beef, my husband has the Pork Shank and my son had the Mahi Mahi. Everyone shared and we all thought it our best meal in Vail this week! We loved it so much we went back for lunch the next day and that was excellent too! We will make this a must-do on our annual trips to Vail“

“Update...we've dined at Gessner's dozens of times during our visits to the Grand Hyatt Vail. This is the main restaurant on property, they serve breakfast, apres, and dinner. We've mostly had breakfast and apres here over the years but all in all this is a great restaurant located within the hotel. The food is always solid and I think the service has gotten better throughout the years we have been visiting this establishment....
The food is outstanding at Gessner's. The restaurant is located in the Grand Hyatt, the restaurant and hotel are both stunningly beautiful. We like dining out in the lobby area after a long day of skiing, highly recommend!“

“The Fitz is a busy patio whenever there are shows at the Amp and this was the case on this night we went. They should have a better system worked out for the bar. We waited for over 10 to 15 minutes for our drinks. The waitress was super busy. Maybe have some more help on hand on busy nights?“

“Valet parking was free just despite us just passing town. We were sat immediately, the service was immaculate, the menu was diverse and innovative. The food, despite being in a restaurant attached to a garage filled with Audis and Porsches, was extremely well priced and the best burger I've had in years.
I could not name a flaw of this experience, I wish I could do it 3 more times.“

“Many people booked outside seating as did we and then the rain started and everyone requested inside. The wait staff, hostess and every other employee hustled to get everyone seated in a short time. They did an amazing job. Food was tasty, limited selection but solid on flavor. Our server was wonderful. Tavern on the Square is always on our list for dining during our annual summer visits.“
