“On the receipt it said our server was Raul. He was awesome and made an iced espresso that my girlfriend thought was much better than Starbucks. The coffee creation was on the house… even the second one. The breakfast was very good and priced fairly. Because of it all, left a little over 50% tip and happy. Well done.“

“Breakfast at Ludwig’s was a great start to every morning during my stay. The atrium is beautiful, especially with the fall colors and views of the creek. The buffet selection was extensive and delicious, and the service was great—all the ladies who looked after me were lovely.
The buffet was included in my stay, which I really appreciated. I’m not sure I would have paid $42 for it otherwise, but I thoroughly enjoyed the food, setting, and warm service.“

“Definitely popular based on the line out the door each time we visited, even on a mid-afternoon weekday with rain and temps in the 50s. We still were served pretty quickly and the ice cream was tasty!
Lots of GF ice cream options for those like me who need it.“
“We had a truly wonderful anniversary dinner at Stuberl at Ludwig's! We celebrated our reception dinner here decades ago, and every time we return, it feels like stepping back into a cherished memory. The team made our evening exceptional once again — warm service, a fantastic meal, and an extra‑special surprise: a Bavarian Creme Pie crafted just for us, similar to the one we enjoyed at our reception instead of a traditional wedding cake. Our compliments and heartfelt gratitude to the Sonnenalp and the entire crew for making the night so memorable!“

“The bbq pizza was the best pizza I have ever had. The waiter was a little under par. He just wasn't as attentive to us as he was others. We ordered 2 beers he only brought one. And when we said we wanted 2. He had a attitude. But then apologized right before he brought the bill.“

“Our server Amanda was amazing! We thoroughly enjoyed all the staff and the food was delicious as well! Thanks for a wonderful experience!!! Pinot noir, Cajun shrimp, and wedge salad were 10/10!!! Highly recommend eating on the patio to enjoy river views and patio heaters!“

“Update...we've dined at Gessner's dozens of times during our visits to the Grand Hyatt Vail. This is the main restaurant on property, they serve breakfast, apres, and dinner. We've mostly had breakfast and apres here over the years but all in all this is a great restaurant located within the hotel. The food is always solid and I think the service has gotten better throughout the years we have been visiting this establishment....
The food is outstanding at Gessner's. The restaurant is located in the Grand Hyatt, the restaurant and hotel are both stunningly beautiful. We like dining out in the lobby area after a long day of skiing, highly recommend!“

“The Fitz is a busy patio whenever there are shows at the Amp and this was the case on this night we went. They should have a better system worked out for the bar. We waited for over 10 to 15 minutes for our drinks. The waitress was super busy. Maybe have some more help on hand on busy nights?“

“My wife and I had a great experience here, even during a busy weekend with Oktoberfest and the Farmers Market happening simultaneously. Our server, Alvin, provided excellent service and offered helpful menu recommendations. The ribs were incredibly tender, the portions were generous, and we thoroughly enjoyed our meals. We’ll definitely be back!“

“We celebrated my husband's birthday at Elway's and it was fantastic! He got the New York strip steak. It was cooked perfectly and he ate every single bite! He also enjoyed the mashed potatoes. I had the house salad which was simply delicious. I also had the coconut shrimp. There were 3 huge shrimp with a tasty slaw which included cashews. They brought my husband a slice if dark chocolate cake for his birthday. It was a memorable meal!“

“Many people booked outside seating as did we and then the rain started and everyone requested inside. The wait staff, hostess and every other employee hustled to get everyone seated in a short time. They did an amazing job. Food was tasty, limited selection but solid on flavor. Our server was wonderful. Tavern on the Square is always on our list for dining during our annual summer visits.“
