“Great sushi place! We dined in and loved every bite — the fish was super fresh, the rolls were flavorful and beautifully presented. Our waitress was incredibly sweet and attentive. But what really made our experience special was a lovely complimentary treat at the end of the meal — such a nice touch! We also absolutely love Chef Ian’s sushi — his skills are on another level! Will definitely come back. Highly recommend! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐“

“We loved our meal at Swiss Chalet. The fondue was excellent and the vegetable accompaniments were delicious and well seasoned, especially the broccoli. This felt like a much more refined version of other fondues in town. Service was excellent and the atmosphere very charming. The pretzel bread with peppery butter was also delicious. The chocolate fondue was a fun way to end the evening. They were also surprisingly kid friendly and had a great kids menu.“

“For the best brunch experience in the Vail Valley, indulge in Ludwig’s. The service, the food and everything delivered it is a 10/10 every time. Smara is always exceptional! Ludwig’s is one of the most special places in Vail. Thank you from the Sanchez family!“

“On the receipt it said our server was Raul. He was awesome and made an iced espresso that my girlfriend thought was much better than Starbucks. The coffee creation was on the house… even the second one. The breakfast was very good and priced fairly. Because of it all, left a little over 50% tip and happy. Well done.“

“This place is so much fun! We had a girls trip this last week and went twice. The atmosphere was perfect, it was like a dive bar with great comfy seating. They had touch tunes so we got to play our own music (so fun) however, our only complaint is that there’s VERY limited country music options. Apparently the owner doesn’t want it to be a country bar but we’re just some Oklahoma girls wanting to play some of our fave tunes! If we could’ve played whatever we wanted I would give this place a 10/10. But for now, it is an 8.5/10. Regardless of the music limitations this place is great. We had the sweetest bartender both nights, Kaya. She made us feel so welcome and it was nice to see a familiar face when we came back. If you’re in town looking for a fun night out, this is the place to go. Maybe if we beg enough they’ll add some more country music to the touch tunes options????“

“The bbq pizza was the best pizza I have ever had. The waiter was a little under par. He just wasn't as attentive to us as he was others. We ordered 2 beers he only brought one. And when we said we wanted 2. He had a attitude. But then apologized right before he brought the bill.“

“Definitely popular based on the line out the door each time we visited, even on a mid-afternoon weekday with rain and temps in the 50s. We still were served pretty quickly and the ice cream was tasty!
Lots of GF ice cream options for those like me who need it.“

“If you are staying in Vail or just wrapping up a long day out in the mountains, Bully Ranch inside the Sonnenalp Hotel is an incredibly popular spot for casual comfort food, but you definitely need to know how their ordering process works if you want to grab food to go.
We wanted to get a large order of their famous burgers and sides to bring back to our place, but when we tried to call ahead, we found out they do not take takeout orders over the phone at all. You have to physically walk into the restaurant, stand at the host stand or bar, and place your order in person. If you are trying to feed a hungry group after an active day, this is a bit of a hurdle because you end up waiting around the lobby or the bar area for twenty to thirty minutes while the kitchen prepares everything. It would be much more convenient if they allowed phone or online orders for quick pickups, so definitely factor that extra waiting time into your evening plans if you are planning a takeout night.
That being said the food itself definitely delivers on quality. Their signature burgers are fantastic, especially the ones with the smoked cheddar and bourbon glaze, and they travel surprisingly well if you eat them right away. The meat is high quality, juicy, and cooked exactly to order. We also got a side of their truffle tots, which are perfectly crispy and heavily seasoned, making them an absolute hit with everyone. If you have time to wait around for your food to cook, it is absolutely worth the trouble for a casual, hearty mountain meal, but just be prepared to make a physical trip out there just to get the order into their kitchen system.“

“The food was superb, and the service is kind. I do have to say that their water is some of the most refreshing I’ve ever had (unsure of what or where it comes from lol). Unfortunately, I do live out of state. However anytime I visit Vail, CO this is an absolute stop to grab a bite for me.“

“We were visiting Vail on a Monday in early March and ate lunch here. It was in a good location. The restaurant had indoor and outdoor dining. We chose to eat outside since it was good weather & has a nice view of the ski slopes. It got chilly when it became cloudy & the restaurant doesn’t have heaters. The food was expensive and portions were small. The service was okay.“
