Many people booked outside seating as did we and then the rain started and everyone requested inside. The wait staff, hostess and every other employee hustled to get everyone seated in a short time. They did an amazing job. Food was tasty, limited selection but solid on flavor. Our server was wonderful. Tavern on the Square is always on our list for dining during our annual summer visits.
Great time relaxing, not rushed, with vocals from a nearby restaurant to add to the ambiance. Great night!
The food was amazing and we loved the patio seating. The staff was very attentive and friendly as well.

Tavern On The Square is a conveniently located restaurant at the bottom of the mountain, perfect for a drink and meal after a day on the slopes. The menu offers a broader range of options including Poke Bowls, Salads, salmon, and short ribs. Enjoy live music in the bar area or relax on the outdoor patio, taking in the mountain views. The friendly service and spacious interior make it a great spot for families, with a menu that caters to all types of eaters, including picky kids. The outdoor seating is great in good weather and the location in Lionshead is nice. Delicious options like tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwich are available, and the bubbles at the bar are fresh.
The Elk was delicious, and the Tavern salad was good but shareable. The "artisan bread" was not worth ordering as the crust was too hard. The service was lacking, with long wait times and difficulty getting the server's attention, but the desserts, especially the Toasted Pineapple Gelato and the chocolate bomb, were truly mind-blowing. Overall, while the food and location are good, the service needs improvement.
