Getting to the food: for reference, I prefer the Japanese “deep cuts,” or straight prepared sashimi and omakase styles. I got both sushi and rolls today. Japanese snapper was the best I’ve ever had. “We loved our meal at Swiss Chalet. The fondue was excellent and the vegetable accompaniments were delicious and well seasoned, especially the broccoli. This felt like a much more refined version of other fondues in town. Service was excellent and the atmosphere very charming. The pretzel bread with peppery butter was also delicious. The chocolate fondue was a fun way to end the evening. They were also surprisingly kid friendly and had a great kids menu.“

“This tiny Thai/Chinese restaurant in Vail (Lion's Head) is a total hidden gem. With only about eight tables, it feels cozy and intimate — almost like you’ve been invited into someone’s home for dinner. So glad that we stumbled upon it!

We were only in Vail for five days and ate here twice because it was that good. The Tom Yum Soup was the best I’ve ever had (and I live in the DC area, where great Thai food is easy to find). Every dish was packed with flavor and felt authentic and comforting.

If you’re expecting resort-level ambiance and polished service, this isn’t that. It’s casual, welcoming, and all about the food. And the food alone makes it absolutely worth it — especially after a long day on the mountain.“

“On the receipt it said our server was Raul. He was awesome and made an iced espresso that my girlfriend thought was much better than Starbucks. “This place is so much fun! We had a girls trip this last week and went twice. The atmosphere was perfect, it was like a dive bar with great comfy seating. They had touch tunes so we got to play our own music (so fun) however, our only complaint is that there’s VERY limited country music options. Apparently the owner doesn’t want it to be a country bar but we’re just some Oklahoma girls wanting to play some of our fave tunes! If we could’ve played whatever we wanted I would give this place a 10/10. But for now, it is an 8.5/10. Regardless of the music limitations this place is great. We had the sweetest bartender both nights, Kaya. She made us feel so welcome and it was nice to see a familiar face when we came back. “Make a reservation even as you are walking up on open table. W/o the reservation they will direct you to the bar or there may be a wait. We grabbed a reservation while at the host stand, only table available was near the kitchen and then an outside for two opened and we were moved. Great service and appreciate their focus on conserving water during the drought.“

“Valet parking was free just despite us just passing town. We were sat immediately, the service was immaculate, the menu was diverse and innovative. The food, despite being in a restaurant attached to a garage filled with Audis and Porsches, was extremely well priced and the best burger I've had in years.

“We had lunch at Wildwood Smokehouse. It's located at the top of the Wildwood lift at Vail. We each had a sandwich, shredded chicken, brisket, and pulled pork, and weall had onion rings for our side. They were all good. The shredded chicken had great smoky flavor. On the table, there are 3 BBQ sauces, OG, spicy and honey mustard.“

“Wow, one of the best restaurants on Vail mountain! For starters, this restaurant blew my mind away, especially it being 2 miles high! The pulled pork was so tender, the ribs were some of the best that I have ever had, the sauce is the bomb, and the prices were reasonable for Vail! Pro tip, use your epic pass if you have it, it will save you a drastic amount of money!

Parking: In terms of ski parking, there are many racks outside to “park” your skis. However, you can’t drive up to here!
