“My husband met the owner on the gondola one day and told us all about First Chair. We made it out for dinner and drinks with the kids a few days later. Chris served us and it was great meeting him as a fellow East coaster! We ordered almost all of the burritos on the menu and were not disappointed! The smash burger was easily my favorite. My dad would order the meatball burrito for every meal, I swear, with how much he enjoyed it as well as my 1 year old eating half of one herself. My son did work on the nachos they were so tasty! When we get back to Vail, we'll be sure to stop in! great staff and food!“

The only thing that slightly disappointed me was the side salad as I was hoping for a more traditional Austrian or a German salad with pickled veggies and vinegarette. “On the receipt it said our server was Raul. He was awesome and made an iced espresso that my girlfriend thought was much better than Starbucks. The coffee creation was on the house… even the second one. The breakfast was very good and priced fairly. Because of it all, left a little over 50% tip and happy. Well done.“

“Definitely, one of my most favorite places to go to after skiing. Our service was great and we were able to sit outside and watch people skiing down the mountain. It was very busy so we did have to wait a little while at the end of january. They do have heaters there. I like this place more for the atmosphere than the actual food itself.But it's definitely worth going to. The server was very nice to us and they were fast and efficient. Thank you for your hospitality.We'll definitely be there again soon.“

“Went here twice during our stay. Not sure why the rating is so low. We had pastries, coffee, and tea each time. Good cup of coffee, chai latte and hot tea. Kids loved the donuts and cronuts. Croissants and pastries were yummy. Small shop but seating along the window to sit and enjoy. Would have continued to go if our trip was longer!“

“My husband and I stopped in for an early dinner in Vail last night. We just wanted a quick bite to eat at the bar area. I got the wedge salad that was great, just know their salad dressing is very zesty. My husband got the smash burger with truffle fries. Let me just say, I will come back to this restaurant for this. Both were absolutely perfect. 👌 I also ordered a glass of sparkling rose from the zero proof menu. It was a wonderful selection of both wine, cocktails, and zero proof choices. The sommelier stopped by our table and we gave him our compliments. Service was wonderful. The only reason for the four stars is that it is off season right now, so be aware of that. There’s also construction and maintenance going on everywhere in Vail right now.“

“My family and I still talk about this pizza. It’s the best pizza we have ever had (including NYC - I know, throw the tomatoes at me now but its true).
The crust - oh the crust! The toppings too. I seriously may go back to Vail just for the pizza.

I will say, service was not that good. Our server’s personality apparently called in sick that day. But the rest was awesome.“
