“Food was great overall, and the ambiance was wonderful. The service was prompt and food arrived very quickly. The only thing that slightly disappointed me was the side salad as I was hoping for a more traditional Austrian or a German salad with pickled veggies and vinegarette. All the other food was delicious. We will definitely go back.“

“On the receipt it said our server was Raul. He was awesome and made an iced espresso that my girlfriend thought was much better than Starbucks. The coffee creation was on the house… even the second one. The breakfast was very good and priced fairly. Because of it all, left a little over 50% tip and happy. Well done.“

“Definitely, one of my most favorite places to go to after skiing. Our service was great and we were able to sit outside and watch people skiing down the mountain. It was very busy so we did have to wait a little while at the end of january. They do have heaters there. I like this place more for the atmosphere than the actual food itself. But it's definitely worth going to. The server was very nice to us and they were fast and efficient. Thank you for your hospitality. We'll definitely be there again soon.“

“Loved this spot over a couple days while we’re in town. Fabulous service and great drinks at a decent price.
Found it shortly after checking into Lift House with our pups after a ~2.5 hour drive from Denver and just wanted a quick drink in a casual spot. We were delighted to see this pub basically right down stairs, especially since we didn’t want to stray far while our dogs got settled. Immediately loved the atmosphere! Definitely try their Sangria… it’s not too sweet or too bitter or too fruity. Old Fashioned was just OK.“

“Katie was the best part of the experience there and the reason we returned. She made my morning mocha and remembered my drink and remembered my name . She was wonderful and got us fresh warm chocolate chip cookies. Huge shout out to Katie.“

“Salvatore is the mixologist at Cucina at The Lodge at Vail and his creations are amazing!! This is his take on a Espresso Martini. The rose color is a rose petal sugar he makes in house. The roses are sourced from India. Amazing! Delicious!! #Espresso Martini, #Mixologist“

“Went here twice during our stay. Not sure why the rating is so low. We had pastries, coffee, and tea each time. Good cup of coffee, chai latte and hot tea. Kids loved the donuts and cronuts. Croissants and pastries were yummy. Small shop but seating along the window to sit and enjoy. Would have continued to go if our trip was longer!“

“The food was superb, and the service is kind. I do have to say that their water is some of the most refreshing I’ve ever had (unsure of what or where it comes from lol). Unfortunately, I do live out of state. However anytime I visit Vail, CO this is an absolute stop to grab a bite for me.“

“If you are looking for a hearty Italian meal to take back to your place after a full day in Vail, Vendettas Restaurant on Bridge Street is a very popular option to consider. We decided to get our dinner to go, and the ordering process was quick and efficient. However, waiting for the food inside the restaurant was a bit uncomfortable because it was incredibly hot inside the building. On a warm afternoon or evening, the indoor dining room can trap a lot of heat, which makes standing around waiting for a takeout order feel pretty stifling. If you are ordering during peak dinner hours when the kitchen is running at full blast and the space is crowded, you might want to step outside into the village air for a few minutes while they finish packaging up your meal.
Despite the stuffy wait inside, the food itself was packed exceptionally well and stayed completely fresh for the trip home. They line their takeout containers with heavy aluminum foil, which does an amazing job of insulating the dishes and keeping them piping hot. We ordered the fettuccine alfredo and a hearty pasta with red meat sauce and fresh basil. Both portions were generous and tasted great. The alfredo was creamy and rich without being too heavy, and the noodles were cooked perfectly. The red sauce pasta had an excellent depth of flavor, and the fresh ribbons of basil on top added a nice, bright contrast to the savory meat sauce.
Getting takeout from here is definitely a solid choice if you want restaurant-quality comfort food in the comfort of your own space. The foil packaging ensures that your pasta will still be warm and delicious by the time you sit down to eat it. Just keep in mind that the interior temperature can get quite warm while you wait, so being prepared for a quick, hot pickup is part of the experience. It is a dependable spot for a satisfying Italian dinner in the village, and the quality of the food makes it worth a visit.“

“My husband met the owner on the gondola one day and told us all about First Chair. We made it out for dinner and drinks with the kids a few days later. Chris served us and it was great meeting him as a fellow East coaster! We ordered almost all of the burritos on the menu and were not disappointed! The smash burger was easily my favorite. My dad would order the meatball burrito for every meal, I swear, with how much he enjoyed it as well as my 1 year old eating half of one herself. My son did work on the nachos they were so tasty! When we get back to Vail, we'll be sure to stop in! great staff and food!“
