“Had the chocolate malted. Ask for a side shot to make it Boozy. Garlic buffalo and Jamaican Jerk medium hot were jus enough to wake up your mouth without drawing tears and sniffles. The cheese fries with house made queso will definitely bring us back!!! Great service.“

“We happened on to the Saloon while attending the Saturday Farmers Market in Minturn. On our last night in the Vail Valley we went for dinner. It was exceptional. Cat our server was excellent. The chips and salsa with guacamole were perfect. But the star of the show was the Waygu Flatiron Steak. This is a don't miss if you enjoy beef. And finally the Cast Iron Cookie was also a home run. Congrats to Chefs Julie and Shane for a wonderful dinner. We'll be back next summer! Thanks“

“Been to this nice restaurant many times and it’s always first class. Tonight my wife’s chicken was excellent. The wine was great. However, the Manhattan steak was not so good. The one that was brought out was extremely tough and even hard to cut into. Our lovely server offered to bring out a new one but I said I would fight through it. To her credit, she insisted on bringing out a new one and I asked for it to be Medallion cut. The replacement came out and should have been medium rare, but when I laid out the cuts it was simply very rare to raw with lots of fat as well. I simply refused to eat it and told her to just take it off the bill. To my surprise the wonderful Manager Dana immediately came over and admitted that they failed on the steak. He explained that they usually get great cuts from the provider, but recently not so much and he actually called the owner and told him they simply can’t be offering this kind of steak as this was not the first bad cut he has seen this evening. Dana did not charge me for the steak as well as the wine and offered a free desert. Dana did exactly what I’d expect a Manager to do in this caliber of a restaurant and that alone makes me want to come back again whichever we will do so!“

“I live in Avon and Northside is one of my go to places. They have a fantastic happy hour with Kat at the bar. Not only does she pour a great cocktail, bit is attentive and on the ball. She knows how to keep her customers happy. They should be thrilled to have her. The drinks are prefect and the food yummy. Better than most over the top expensive places in downtown Vail.“

The coffee creation was on the house… even the second one. The breakfast was very good and priced fairly. Because of it all, left a little over 50% tip and happy. Well done.“

“I came to the Fireside Grill as part of package deal through the Nordic Center to go snowshoeing for several hours before capping the day off with a generous plate of wine and cheese AND dessert! The food was delicious and Lizzie took phenomenal care of me as I enjoyed my meal. Her kindness and attentiveness was much appreciated. I highly recommend this experience through the Nordic Center as well as the Fireside Grill for its excellent food and lovely staff.“

The food is served apparently only some days.. then there's no wait staff I guess anymore, and as much as this place suppose to be bumpin' for any apres ski time they decide to close at 4pm or so.. blew my mind.. absolutely the most prime real estate .. the way its ran I guarantee they're hitting less than 50% of its potential revenue! “My wife and I had a great experience here, even during a busy weekend with Oktoberfest and the Farmers Market happening simultaneously. Our server, Alvin, provided excellent service and offered helpful menu recommendations. The ribs were incredibly tender, the portions were generous, and we thoroughly enjoyed our meals. “Had one of the best breakfasts ever. Hikers omelette with turkey sausage, on the patio with a great view of the mountain. Everything is just breathtaking, and the service was outstanding. “Update...we've dined at Gessner's dozens of times during our visits to the Grand Hyatt Vail. This is the main restaurant on property, they serve breakfast, apres, and dinner. We've mostly had breakfast and apres here over the years but all in all this is a great restaurant located within the hotel. The food is always solid and I think the service has gotten better throughout the years we have been visiting this establishment....

The food is outstanding at Gessner's. The restaurant is located in the Grand Hyatt, the restaurant and hotel are both stunningly beautiful. We like dining out in the lobby area after a long day of skiing, highly recommend!“

“Was a little tired from skiing all day and needed a little caffeine boost to prepare for the evening ahead. The place was a little busy but the wait was not bad at all. I enjoyed an Iced Nutty Irishman. I asked them to dial back the syrup and it was great. The coffee they use is great and a little less flavoring helped the coffee flavor pop. Service was excellent. There was a guy working the counter alone and he did a great job of tending to everyone’s needs. I did not have food there but a couple customers were returning because they enjoyed the food the day before. They also serve beer in addition to coffee and other drinks. Inside seating is available with tables and a small bar area. There is also a really nice outdoor sitting area where you can do some people watching.“

Everyone genuinely went out of their way to make our anniversary memorable, and the level of service throughout the Ritz-Carlton Bachelor Gulch was top notch. If you're visiting, we highly recommend making a full day of it with time at the spa followed by dinner at Wyld. Between the incredible food, thoughtful service, and the way the staff takes care of you, it was the perfect way to celebrate our anniversary. We'll absolutely be back.“

“I came in for my friend’s birthday dinner and ordered a full 3 course meal and it was absolutely incredible. We ordered a revel reclette as an appetizer and it was perfectly cooked and had an elegant flavor profile. We each ordered a ribeye for dinner that was also perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. Their signature cocktails were also flawlessly executed. We finished the meal off with a cheese cake and carrot cake and were treated to excellent service from not only our waitresses Kaja and Payton but also the manager, Chris, who had a very high level of professionalism and attentiveness. The new executive chef Doug has been updating the menu to great effect. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a high end dining experience in Vail Valley.“

“I've been skiing in Vail for awhile. If you don't ski, take the Gondola up and have a meal here. The views are amazing. While I understand everything is more expensive due to the logistics of getting it up the mountain, the prices here are even high for the mountain. That aside, great service and very good food plus the views make it a must visit.“

“We celebrated my husband's birthday at Elway's and it was fantastic! He got the New York strip steak. It was cooked perfectly and he ate every single bite! He also enjoyed the mashed potatoes. I had the house salad which was simply delicious. I also had the coconut shrimp. There were 3 huge shrimp with a tasty slaw which included cashews. They brought my husband a slice if dark chocolate cake for his birthday. It was a memorable meal!“

The waiter said it was because that is how the chef was getting it out of the kitchen. For an expensive meal like that you don't want to be rushed.“
