“Heck’s was absolutely amazing. We dined multiple times during our stay. We loved the cocktails, dessert, and the views. Enjoying a night cap with beers and s’mores bread pudding was to die for! Then for a lunch after the spa indulged in their local wagyu ground beef with a burger and the patty melt. Even the fresh diverse lemonade was such a special treat to cap off our relaxing afternoon at lunch. The accessible board games make an evening even more fun. From the life music to great staff you can’t go wrong with Heck’s Tavern.“

“I wish I could give Idlewild 10 stars! Best vegan food we have had in a while! We got the shishito peppers, the vegan sliders, the vegan ravioli, and the vegan chocolate mousse. The chef is vegan and even came out to greet us! We also got several drinks, my husband got alcoholic mixed drinks and I got their mocktails. All of the drinks were super good! The vibe was super cool as well! Best place to eat in Grand County! We will definitely be back!“

“I can’t say enough great things about this place. We had Christmas Eve dinner here tonight and it was absolutely spectacular. Not only the service, but the food itself was phenomenal. I consider myself a scallop snob, and these were the best I’ve ever had! Delicious mocktails and dessert too! The chef outdid herself 😍😍😍“

“To start their was some confusion with getting 9 seated. They got it figured out and all worked out just fine. However, if it wasn’t a weeknight I do not think it would have been possible. We ordered ahi tuna ceviche, lobster tacos and surf + turf tacos …. Everyone really enjoyed. Strawberry Fresca was delicious (nice to have a yummy drink option that’s non alcoholic). No kids menu but waiter was super accommodating, recommended less spicy menu items, and even made some chicken tenders for part of our group. Will definitely come back.“

“We were spending Fathers Day weekend at the lakes. I decided to take Thursday off and enjoy a round of golf, making it a 4 day weekend. Booked a late morning tee time at GEGC, first time playing the track. Welcoming staff members greeted me as I was dropping my clubs off in front of clubhouse/restaurant. While I checking in, the manager noticed I also had a recent birthday, 6 days prior. I was shocked and pleasantly surprised when this gentleman offered me a birthday present at his expense. It was such a kind gesture and I will never forget it. Thank you…
The course was in good condition. It is early summer, hot conditions today and on the heels of a very dry winter. Thumbs up to the grounds crew keeping the course in order considering the warm, dry weather.
I will definitely recommend this course to friends and I will be back to play it again!
