Heck’s was absolutely amazing. We dined multiple times during our stay. We loved the cocktails, dessert, and the views. Enjoying a night cap with beers and s’mores bread pudding was to die for! Then for a lunch after the spa indulged in their local wagyu ground beef with a burger and the patty melt. We ate here for lunch and dinner for a few days while we were at the resort. It was incredible!! Have you ever cut a pork chop with a fork? I HAVE! Have you ever loved a meatloaf so much you crave it again? I HAVE! Have you ever seen a bison short rib fall off of the bone? I HAVE! We were so stuffed after every meal. Food was good. We had two appetizers. We also had drinks. The non-alcoholic mixer I had was particularly good. Service was good and a nice atmosphere.

Heck's Tavern offers a fantastic spot for vegetarians and vegans, with killer options available. The bar experience is exceptional, with a knowledgeable and accommodating bartender. The outside seating boasts a gorgeous view overlooking the valley, perfect for enjoying dishes like the wagyu cheeseburger, tips and dips appetizer, ugly tomato salad, and the wedge. Under Chef Maggie’s leadership, the menu has expanded with creative flavors and expertly sourced ingredients. The service is excellent and attentive, making it a great spot for families, groups, and romantic evenings. The cozy ambiance features a roaring central fireplace that warms the entire space. Heck’s Tavern remains a Colorado gem, with beautifully presented dishes and a welcoming atmosphere.
