“I've been here twice and both times were so good! I got an espresso boba the first day and a strawberry green tea with green apple boba. My son had a waffle on a stick and loved it. I took my husband a cookie and he couldn't stop talking about it. So in general.. stop by and pick anything up, it's all amazing.“

“When you picture the perfect coffee shop, it’s this!! Perfectly aesthetic, drinks were so good, and food was fire! They make all the simple syrups in house and you can taste the difference! Plus they are trying to save the turtles! And the staff will yap with you. Literally perfection“

“I don’t drink caffeine so I am always looking for unique and actually tasty warm caffeine-free drinks. Their drink called ‘warm hug’ is amazing! Plus the staff is so friendly and welcoming!“

“Yampa Valley Kitchen is a nice choice for a step up for a celebratory dinner. The food is very good with creative, fresh and local flavors. Some of the servings were quite small for example, a vegetable and cheese appetizer was about the third of the food for the same price as a vegetable and cheese salad that was much larger. They do a pretty good job of accommodating a variety of dietary needs. The atmosphere is pleasant. It’s a beautiful old house that has been nicely converted. I would suggest for the upscale experience that they are going for that they do not have their staff wear T-shirts. Also for a party of eight with a large bill it would’ve been a nice inappropriate gesture if they had comped the $20 dessert rather than just suggesting that we buy the $20 dessert for a birthday celebration. If you’re looking for a place for a nicer meal in steamboat with a wide range of dietary needs without extraordinarily outlanders prices, Yampa Valley kitchen will serve well.“

My chai was dreamy and the chia seed pudding hit the spot. My husband—who’s super picky, gave his flat white a 10/10 (high praise coming from him!). Shay, our barista, was the best, hooked us up with awesome Steamboat recs and made the whole experience even better. Can’t wait to come back!“

“A couple of years ago, I had an experience at the Starbucks in City Market, Steamboat, that I’ve been meaning to share. It was around 8:00 PM, right when they were closing, and I stopped in for a coffee before starting my 5 ½-hour drive. The man working there was incredibly kind. Even though he had already started cleaning the machine, he went out of his way to make me a coffee. That alone impressed me, as many places would’ve simply said, “Sorry, we’re closed.”

But what really stood out was what happened next. As I was leaving, I accidentally spilled my coffee all over. I went back in, unsure of what to expect, but he just laughed, stopped what he was doing, and made me another coffee—no hesitation, no complaints. He truly went above and beyond.

The coffee was great, but the kindness and service were what made this experience unforgettable. Five stars for going the extra mile and for creating such a special moment. I’ve been wanting to share this for a long time, so here it is. Highly recommend!“
