Nice spot in the middle of this resort town. Appetizers were definitely great with some minor opportunity for improvement on the main dishes (slightly overcooked and under seasoned). Staff was very friendly and ambiance was great.

I had the Maui Wowie. It was cooked to perfection. I recommend adding jalapeño or habanero peppers to counter the pineapple. I've been away from the boat for awhile and remember when this place opened. It was delicious then and it's still delicious now. Prices are moderate considering it's location and the fact that it's the boat people. You want a $10 burger go to micky d's. You want a GREAT burger at a great price, eat here.

This was a gem we found. We ate there twice and both times I had the Power Salad which was fresh, delicious and juicy. We shared a serving of Sweet Potato Fries which were crunchy and soo good. The atmosphere at Apres Burger is great, the service fantastic and sitting on the patio in the evening sun just added to the summer vibe. What a great place to end a wonderful day of hiking and exploring in the mountains. Highly recommended.

The atmosphere at Après Burger Bistro was fine. It was clean with a large open dining area that felt oddly empty. It was a very large space for such a small number of guests. The vibe aims for upscale, mostly reflected in the pricing, but the experience didn’t match the cost. We weren’t looking for much after a long day of hiking, but the experience was noteworthy for the wrong reasons.

We ordered salads and burgers. The salads were annoyingly overpriced, especially considering no protein was included. Portions were small, and ingredients were sparse. My salad came with just one and a half grape tomatoes and the “shaved Parmesan” was substituted with grated, another miss. My wife’s salad was missing most of the listed ingredients, so sparse that we mentioned it to the wait staff, which we rarely do. The replacement was slightly better but still underwhelming.

The burgers and fries were pedestrian. To be fair, they were simple orders resulting in simple food. Overall, for a place charging premium prices, it was surprisingly forgettable.

A final frustrating touch was the $7 Arnold Palmer with no refills. We were literally discussing how the prices didn’t match the quality when the server came by to inform us that refills weren’t included. I hadn’t even asked for one, but the reminder was irritating. To be clear, upon paying I provided the feedback directly, sharing it was the first time I’d ever encountered a no-refill policy on something like that, and he pointed out that it was noted on the menu (which I hadn’t even looked at). It turned into an unwelcome debate.

It’s not about the money, it’s about the broader expectation and standard practice, especially for a restaurant seemingly positioning itself as an upscale bistro. Choices like skimping on ingredients and charging for basic refills don’t reflect well on the brand. I’m all for paying a premium if quality matches, but certainly not in this case. Best of luck to Après, and I hope this feedback helps build a better brand.

Our last evening in Steamboat and we decided to find a nearby restaurant with a dog-friendly patio. Unfortunately, it was a bit hot but we found the perfect spot of shade in the Aspres Burger Bistro patio. We enjoyed the evening by splitting the Aspres Burger and a garden salad with a few drinks. The waitress was excellent, super friendly and helpful while the food was excellent. We would certainly recommend and return on a future visit.

We were told about this place had the BEST burgers by a local and they were NOT wrong!!! Great service, great food, great drinks, and the desert was fantastic too!!! I would recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Steamboat!

Dawson was our server and was fantastic. Much of our table had burgers and they enjoyed them. I had the summer salad with grilled chicken and it was bursting with flavor. I would order it again and again.
