Beard & Braid is an absolute gem in Steamboat Springs. The moment you walk in, you’re welcomed by the warm, plant-filled modern atmosphere and the rich aroma of expertly brewed coffee. Every detail—from the handcrafted espresso drinks to the house-made ice cream—feels thoughtful and elevated.

The coffee is phenomenal: smooth, bold, and perfectly balanced. Whether you’re into pour-overs, lattes, or seasonal specials, you can taste the care and quality in every sip. And the ice cream? Absolutely unreal. Creative, small-batch flavors that always hit the spot. You can tell everything is made with real ingredients and love.

It’s the kind of place you want to hang out for a while—whether you’re catching up with friends or just soaking in the Steamboat vibes. Beard & Braid has quickly become a must-stop spot for anyone visiting town, and a cherished go-to for locals.

Just got a mocha there and has to be about the worst I’ve ever had. Don’t know what cocoa/chocolate powder they’re using (I was told it was a new one for them), but it’s actually black in the bottom of the mug. I am a fan of dark, dark chocolate, but this tasted really bad.

Great coffee and they offer a lot of fun choices. The food was good as well. I had the breakfast Sammie and my daughter had the avocado bagel. Definitely recommend if you are in need of some good coffee and eats while in town!

Walked in right at opening and if I had had my kids with me, I would have walked back out. The music they were playing was beyond vulgar, including lyrics with the “n-word.” The coffee we ordered was really good, but I will not go back.

This a great coffee shop but not great enough to have to wait 10 minutes for a iced chai when there are about 10 people in line ahead of you. That being said, it's a great place to sit and contemplate, and the staff are kind. But, I can't provide a higher ranking without faster and more efficient service.

Highly recommend this place. The staff is kind and attentive, the drinks are delicious and a good level of creative where it enhances traditional flavor profiles and there is plenty of space to just chill for a bit.

Once I came in to Beard & Braid and ordered the bagel breakfast sandwich with tomato jam. I had a spiritual experience where I exclaimed in wonder, “that was the best breakfast sandwich I’ve ever had.”

Today, several months later, I’ve come back to test my theory. Sometimes things aren’t as good the second time around. Wrong. Again, the best breakfast sandwich I’ve ever had. Tomato jam? Who knew? I’m simply in love. Today I paired it with a lavender London fog latte. They sprinkled the top with a mysterious blue powder. Such ✨ whimsy ✨

Plus, plants everywhere. 10/10. No notes.
