Excellent place to try a wide variety of food via the tapas menu. The atmosphere of the restaurant is spot on and service is fast and friendly. Some notes on the food we had:Cuban bread: cooked a bit too long and could use more garlic butter but was soft and warm, tomato sauce was very goodGuava empanada: amazing flavor with delicious buttery crust, highly recommendedCroquettes: very good flavor with almost too much cheese inside, would get againBrussel sprouts: delicious flavor with strong balsamic vinaigrette taste, would get againGyozas Al Pastor: decent flavor but overshadowed by other items we triedDuck wings: cooked crispy and solid flavor, enjoyed themScallop: phenomenal flavor and very soft and tasty, highly recommendedI also had the passion fruit cocktail which was very good. Definitely worth stopping here if in town.

Wonderfully unique menu and dishes. Continue to be impressed by steamboat's restaurant scene, and I'd add Besame to the list of musts for a varied and excellent offering from the town

Best restaurant in Steamboat in my opinion. We look forward to our vacation partly for skiing, partly for this food!

My husband and I discovered Besame in the local mountain magazine so I checked their instagram out and I knew instantly I wanted to go!The atmosphere, the service, the cocktails, the art were all amazing! The Brussels are hands down the best I have ever had, if you’re a brussel lover then I highly recommend these! The mass empanadas were absolutely delicious! My gin cocktail was perfect! We shared the individual paella which could’ve easily been enough for three people, provided tapas was had beforehand. It’s extremely strong in a seafood flavor, so if you’re are not a seafood lover than it’s certainly not for you. A bit much for me, but it was still delicious! All in all, it was a delicious experience all together! I’ll certainly be back! There were so many things I still wished to try!

This place is a local gem! We had the octopus and lamb belly, the Spanish influence is super refreshing for a mountain town. The head chef JC came to our table to check on us, and what an awesome guy and added to our experience! Highly

I’ve been twice now and have really enjoyed it both time! I’ve tried a fairly large amount of the tapas and had the paella both times I visited - everything has been incredibly delicious! Not a cheap bite to eat - definitely a good one!

I’ve had better experiences in other restaurants in town that I think should get more attention. Had to ask for utensils and THEN napkins; Confused because they usually come together. I believe this restaurant is overhyped truly! Service wasn’t the best and the duck wings had off putting garnish. The chicharrón looked and tasted like store bought chips. I appreciate the ambiance and idea they are going for; but could do better! As a Latino inspired fusion restaurant, I think they failed in some aspects.

We enjoyed our 3rd awesome visit at Besame. The staff and atmosphere are always great. The food experience is one of my favorites in Colorado and makes the Steamboat visit worth it for this alone. This time we enjoyed Besame the two of us, but last time it was great with a big group.

We ordered the tipsy carrot and fuego verde as our cocktails. The tipsy carrot tasted like a generic margarita with huge salt crystals on the rim of the glass that would stick to your lips. The fuego verde was better with a smoky mezcal and a spicy afternote. For our tapas and entree, we ordered the chili glazed short rib which was delicious. The bruselas fritas tasted like any crispy roasted brussel sprout dish I’ve had at any restaurant. The vegetable paella felt like random vegetables were thrown together with no cohesiveness and the dish was undersalted.

Mussels in paella were very freshly cooked. It gets busy starting from early dinner time. Will come back again for a relaxing dinner after ski trip.
