Some of the negative reviews are overdone. This is your basic Asian family-run hole in the wall and their focus is on turning over a lot of customers. Had kung pao and spring rolls and would give it all a C. Given that this is one of the only Asian restaurants in town, it just depends how bad your need for a fix is. Most restaurants in this town are much pricier and less healthy. Can’t recommend the restaurant scene in this town post Covid.

I got the Chinese food. Nice people, good service, quiet atmosphere. Solid food, lots of choices.

The WORST.......Tons of cheap vegetables with thick disgusting brown gravy.....one of these days Steamboat will welcome REAL Chinese food!!!

New ownership has taken this restaurant to an amazing level. They cater to special dietary needs, allergies. Food is delicious, fresh, and huge portions. Was missing egg foo yung at old management and it's back and best I have ever had.

Stopped in for lunch. There was a waitress and who I'm guessing is the sushi chef running around the front of house. We were seated almost immediately and then ignored for a solid ten minutes. We ordered and the waitress couldn't recommend a dish off of the lunch menu. Red flag #1, but we were craving Chinese food. The hot and sour soup came out and it tastes like a rodeo smells. Then the main dishes come out. First was the cashew chicken. The chicken has a strange texture like it wasn't cooked all the way. I went to try a carrot and it was raw. That had me pause and I noticed that there was a strange off smell hiding behind the warm sauce fragrance. So I stopped totally. My lunch partner received their orange beef and oh boy it looked so bad! They tried one piece and then just set down their fork in defeat. I'm sorry, Steamboat Springs. You have some amazing local restaurants but this isn't it.

I have mixed reviews, overalls satisfied but improvements still needed. Ordered enough food for 2 people, sizes fed 1. 1. Sushi roll was TINY and could be the equivalent of 2 pieces in any other restaurant (was 6 tiny pieces). Not much flavor and actually couldn't tell what I ordered. Used table rice not sushi rice. 2. Their "spring rolls" are actually fried egg rolls. Wanted fresh spring rolls but ate and not too bad. 3. Asked for fresh hot mustard, got something premade. 4. Eel tased like it had some sort of teriyaki bbq sauce. Overall not bad but not truly eel sauce. 5. Tuna was delicious but too small portion for the cost per order. 6. Cucumber "salad" was shave cucumbers with no sauce or other veggies or dressing like a true cucumber salad I am giving them the benefit of the doubt for trying to improve but changing the name doesn't change the quality of not other efforts are made. Glad they got the new sushi guy but, even for Steamboat, shouldn't stiff on portions - I'll go get his goods at City Market and be more satisfied.

First take out order since the new owners. They forgot my sushi rolls. My pad Thai was flavorless and frankly disgusting. The spring rolls were only full of cabbage. The crab Rangoons were burnt to a crisp. I hate to be such a Debby downer but I did not enjoy anything I received. I have gotten these same items for years and I am truly saddened that it will be no longer. Unacceptable

Looking to pop in while my crew was on the slopes and have a nice, quick meal. God love them - the entire restaurant was in disarray. They took orders multiple times by different people. The soup came out after the entree. They couldn’t figure out how to make the tea on their own menu, so I had them switch my drink to a coke. They brought the wrong food to the table behind me, and couldn’t figure it out until after leaving the food sitting in front of the wrong people. My food just wasn’t good. The fried rice was really more brown rice. The hot sour soup I couldn’t eat more than the first bite of and the cashew chicken tasted off which made me stop eating. {sigh} I was certainly hoping for better.

Some of the worst Chinese food I've ever had. Wasn't expecting much for steamboat. Most microwave meals are better. Simple things like wontons, absolutely horrible. Fried rice -1/10. Soups like egg drop and miso no good. Chicken and beef was slimy like it came out of a soup can. Wasted 70$ on this meal Would not recommend giving this place a try.

This food was so bad it ruined my entire ski trip. Food was awful. Our order came without soy sauce or sweet sour. Five people ordered and we received one small box of rice. It was $42 per person to eat a truly awful meal. I promise you can find better food. McDonald's is around the corner.

The Shrimp Fried Rice was wonderful. Nice people and good service. Parking is a little difficult, but nice place to stop and eat.

the food was decent, and it was easy to get a reservation, however we showed up and there is a sign on the door that says there is no sushi at the sushi restaurant. We called ahead 3 separate times and there was no mention of this. Once we were there and eating, our server (the short guy with glasses) was without question the worst server I have ever had. He was visibly annoyed any time we would ask him for anything, and eventually started yelling, cursing, and stormed off while taking orders multiple times, mid sentence. It was laughable. If you're going to order here, get to go and steer clear of the beef.

Really really good Asian takeout. Got the shrimp with Broccoli medium spicy and it was full of flavor, the shrimp was cooked perfectly and the broccoli was steamed without overcooking, Happily surprised.

Three out of four of us asked for a sauce on our steamed veggies. All four of us saw a charge for $3.50 on our bill for sauce. We were never warned it would cost anything. I complained to the waitress about the lack of warning and excessive price and said if she didn't refund me the 3.50 I would file a chargeback. She said "Go ahead, that is our cost." I can buy a bottle of peanut sauce at Walmart for $3 (15 cents a serving). I was very disappointed in the customer service. The food was fine and the Happy Hour menu had some low cost items. She gave the person who didn't order peanut sauce a refund on her 3.50.
