If you’re in a drinking mood or just want some good tacos, this place is great. Service was great, food was delicious! The birria and Al pastor tacos were amazing!
Brother listen up, I’m telling you, the “pizza birria” changed my life. This is the best day of my life. I thought yesterday was but now it’s today because I just had a tasty marg, some fire queso, and a PIZZA BIRRIA. Brother. Come on. Fantastic stuff here. Will be back as soon as humanly possible.

Came here with some friends after a long ski day and it was the perfect meal! The margaritas were great, amazing chips and dip, and good vibe. Definitely recommend coming here!

This was an excellent experience. Food was phenomenal and service was exceptional. This is a must stop while visiting Steamboat if you are looking for authentic Mexican food.

The service was excellent! Romy made us feel like regulars. Even though it was near closing time she was patient, answered all our questions and was friendly and attentive. She was awesome!! Our food came out quick and was hot. We had fish tacos, enchiladas and tortilla soup. All were delicious. We got fajitas to go. It was packed up securely and was still hot when we got back to the condo. We also loved the decor with its funky paintings.

NATIVE TEX-MEXican REVIEWPROS:+ Service was good, timely, and friendly. The waiter we had was nice and attentive.+ Atmosphere was decent for underground. Clean.CONS:- Salsa was meh. Not fresh… had more of a smoky tomato sauce flavor.- Chips were meh. Kind of greasy.- Fajitas were way too salty. Husband couldn’t even eat them.- fajitas were $19 with NO MEAT. Had to add chicken for $9 more- Rice was good flavor and texture but salty- No tomatillo anything. What kind of Mexican restaurant has no tomatillo sauce on any platter?WORST: flour tortillas were white… zero grill marks. I.e. way undercooked / raw looking. Kids ate them, but I would say Taco Bell has better. Sad.Many open seats. Now I see why. No need for reservation. Go to Vaqueros. Our old standby. But still not the best as far as Tex-Mex goes.

What a wonderful surprise! As native Texans and Mexican food lovers, we were thrilled to find that SB has a true authentic Mexican food restaurant! We love the cozy vibe downstairs. We had great service from Jasmine, and the margaritas were fantastic. There are some true authentic menu items not found anywhere else in town. Great tacos and enchiladas, sauces, etc. I'd love to keep this Steamboat's best kept foodie secret, but the news is too good not to share. Can't wait to go back.

Glad to see that there was more than one soup option but the broth is a bit too salty. Other than that, it was amazing!
Unless you like paying $20 for a cold soulless tortilla/steak burrito and grumpy customer service don't go here. On the menu it says Steak burrito with beans, rice, and fajita veggies inside, but was only steak and tortilla when we picked up. When he took out order it was like we were bending his arm to put in a pick up order and tip him.....

Seated right away but waited forever for service. Flagged down a waitress, who took our order but food took very long and we had to order our next round from bar because waitress was nowhere to be found. Food was good and drinks on point. Unfortunately it seems this place is very understaffed and why the service was lacking.

Great food. Unfortunate the management did not provide better accommodations for the employees. The host was also serving and running food to the entire restaurant. I booked a reservation 2 months in advanced and had to wait an hour for our table. Took an hour to receive water for the table. Our server was working as hard as she could and tried her best to accommodate us but unfortunately was also responsible for taking care of the entire rest of the restaurant. We thoroughly enjoyed the food and the atmosphere but the inefficient management was extremely frustrating.
After an hour and 45 minutes we still did not have food. The response from staff was “ Didn't you see the restaurant was full when you came in?” I would have been more understanding until this comment.
