JJ and his team catered dinner at the Flying Diamond Ranch for my son's wedding. The appetizers, especially the mushroom tart, were superb. The main courses - local beef filet, cobia and vegetarian risotto - were excellent. The Palisades peach salad was a unique treat. The servers and bartenders did a great job. JJ and his team know their wines. And we enjoyed them. If you hire them to cater a wedding, they will provide you with a tasting dinner in advance of the event in their wine cellar. Lots of fun.

They brought a personal touch that is often only found in family-owned businesses (of which they are), making us feel like more than just clients. Despite the fact that we had a large group to cater to, the quality of their service and food did not suffer at all. Each dish was impeccably prepared, showcasing their attention to detail and commitment to excellence. Our guests couldn't stop raving about the delicious flavors and beautiful presentation. If you're looking for a caterer that delivers both exceptional quality and a warm, personal approach, Harwigs & JJ are the perfect choice. Weddings can be stressful and working with them took one more thing off my plate. Highly recommend!

My significant other and I went for their wine dinner. Not only was the food amazing, but so was the atmosphere. We socialized with other couples and had one of the nicest dinners we’ve ever had. The food was VERY tasty and they paired each course with wine perfectly. The attached photo is a crab cake. I don’t have photos of the other dishes, but just take my word for it.. THIS PLACE IS AMAZING. Service was great too! We will definitely be coming back!

We had a pleasure having a great dinner at Harwings. We had a 8-year old and they did have some kids menu that fit her well. Plus some of the appetizers were great for her as well. The food was excellent. French onion soup, crispy duck and oxtail were the highlights of our dinner and plus a good bottle of bordeaux!
We highly recommend this place that has been family owned since 1979! We look forward to visiting again when we are in Steamboat.

We coordinated a private event with Harwig's for a small group of six. From the beginning, JJ was incredibly communicative and accommodating to our requests. After the event, we had rave reviews from the guests on the food, the service, and the overall atmosphere. JJ even followed up with me to mail back a hat left at the restaurant by one of the guests.
Based on the reviews I had high hopes for this place. The food is mediocre as best, flavor wise and presentation (hence lack of photos). We tried 2 different kinds of wine and both were flat, flavorless and lacking in body. The hostess was really nice and accommodating, but even good service can’t make up for the poor quality food.

Things that were important to us were speedy service, elevated menu, and ease of planning - they hit it out of the park! JJ and his crew were so amazing that we hired them for our welcome party the night before also. The staff was upbeat and friendly - 10/10. I would absolutely suggest anyone who wants effortless, easy, professional, but most important, tasty needs to go with this A+ vendor. Thank you to the entire Harwigs team!!!! Our guests loved their meals and keep talking about all of the elevated details in the creation of the menu.
