Visited from Phoenix on Monday, July 22nd with friends that snowbird in Steamboat. After playing golf, it was delightful to sit outside on the Haymaker patio Bar and Grill. Pat or server a local resident from Steamboat assisted us in ordering late lunch. Plenty of on site parking. Located on the outside of Steamboat. We both had hot dogs and local beer Yampa Valley Rotator draft. Delicious. Great views, great service, and ambiance. Highly recommend this place.

My husband, son, daughter-in-law, grand-toddler and I had a most enjoyable lunch on the lovely porch at Haymaker. Our server was friendly and polite and eager to make sure that our needs were met. The menu has a good variety of appealing offerings and all of us were happy with our meals. My husband and I are locals and I'm sure we'll be going back to Haymaker for lunch.
We did the prefixed dinner with horse pulled sleigh ride. The ride at sunset was beautiful. Chilly but beautiful. We sipped on adult bevs and were given heavy duty blankets that kept us snugged and warm. The horses names were Bula and Bella ♡♡Dinner was a charcuterie, choice of soup or salad, choice of salmon, beef, pork or a gnocchi dish. Dessert was the same for all.Food overall was very good and the overall evening was great.A little pricey but we really enjoyed it and I recommend!

Very deceiving and sneaky restaurant! During our Steamboat vacation we saw Haymaker listed as a nearby restaurant. I Googled them which then took me to their website. There wasn't a lot of information on it but they were open and had availability on our preferred date so I booked it. The reservation required a credit card and agreement that I would be charged $25 per person if I canceled within 48 hours which I agreed to. Only to find out within that 48 hours that they booked me for a sleigh ride and 4 course dinner at $130 per person! Nothing about that in the website nor would I have been interested in that so I canceled the reservation. Needless to say, my card was charged $25 per person and they were unwilling to negotiate due to the confusion. I would avoid Haymaker.
Food and cocktails were great, service was excellent, sleigh ride was a cute activity for families. Our waiter (I believe her name was Sharon) was just fantastic. Definitely pricey, but considering how much fun we had, it was well worth it.
I was extremely excited to go to Haymaker. I e been on a Sleigh dinner before and was really looking forward to it The venue was extremely pricy. But I still didn't care because they were giving a 4 course meal. Well. It was t what I consider a 4 course meal. The table app. Was not great. It was more pickled foods. The salad was not a salad. It was cut up apples w salad garnish. They offered 4 options in the entree. I got pork shoulder with gnocchi's. Basically it was cut up pork in a bowl with 3 tiny gnocchi. My nephew had the NY steak. Also cut up on the plate. I'm sorry but I live in NY. I'm used to NY pricing. But I was very disappointed The people were lovely. But the price per head for what we received was terrible. Especially when drinks were separate. $24 a drink ?. I will not be going back. .
The sleigh ride was just a magical end to our ski vacation. I must say the staff was exceptional from the sleigh driver to all the people running the sleigh. Our waiter Micheal was outstanding which made for a very enjoyable meal. Loved everything.
Highly recommend for a unique experience! The food was better than expected based on the reviews. The salads and soup were great, the sirloin came out med-well instead of med-rare but it was fixed in about 10 minutes. The two guides, Fritz and Fritz, as well as the horses, Scotch and Rocks were fantastic! Oh also it’s mid winter and you’re in a sleigh. They have blankets, but wear warm clothes. The restaurant we thought wasn’t cold although many reviews stated this. Just wanted to set the record straight.

Definitely more of a tourist trap. Sleigh ride was about 10 minutes. We were rushed on and didn't get good pictures with the horses at all. Disappointing. The food was subpar. Service was decent. For over $400 for 2 people, this was a waste. Do not recommend.
Awesome experience! We did the sleigh ride and everything was amazing. Highly recommended. My steak was served medium well and I asked medium rare. They switched it out no problem.

My girlfriend and I had a wonderful and romantic experience with the Sleigh Ride dinner at Haymaker and would highly recommend! We had wonderful service from the moment we walked in and were greeted by the general manager and seated to our table in front of large windows where we watched the sleigh pull up while having warm delicious cocktails. The sleigh is driven by a local and his two personal horses in a handmade sleigh, it came with warm blankets, beautiful views under the Moonlight, and great stories about Steamboat while we were whisked through the snow.Other reviewers said the food was not worth the price, but that was NOT our experience. Excellent 5 star four course dinner - the gnocchi with 48hr braised pork was to die for! The service was top notch to match! This was an experice we'll remember!!

The staff at Haymaker made this a fun experience for the whole family. Our group of 4 to 70 year olds had a great time enjoying a beautiful sunset sleigh ride and delicious dinner. Truly one of the high points of our trip. Thank you for making a great memory for us all.
Booked the New Years Eve sleigh ride and dinner. Arrived and nothing was as listed. No appetizers and drinks prior to the sleigh ride. Then no sleigh ride. We left before dinner so not sure about the food.
We booked this well in advance as we heard the sleigh ride was a great experjnce. The building was beautiful however it was absolutely freezing in the dining room. So much we skipped the sleigh rider because we were all frozen. Food was good but not a lot of options on a fixed menu. If your kids are 13 and over they have to eat off the adult fixed menu. Seems like a waste of money
Food was creative and delicious! Waiter was professional and knowledgeable, as well. However, it was freezing inside the entire time, which put a damper on dinner. Otherwise, would highly recommend and eat here again.
