Great food and service. J*** chicken was delicious. I had the j*** chicken Caesar salad which was very good. Mac salad was also good. Jamaican bottled sodas were also very tasty. Nice atmosphere. Kids had chicken tenders also very good. I’d check this place out when in town.

Wow this place is delicious! So much flavor. This is easily the best restaurant food (or maybe any food) that I’ve had since moving to Colorado from Louisiana a few years ago. Would recommend the jambalaya, macaroni salad, and j*** wings.

Could be one of the greatest hidden gem in the area. As a guy from Florida who’s been to the Caribbean a number of times, the food was top-shelf.Authentic in style and flavors but with higher quality ingredients than you’d find in “traditional” Caribbean restaurants .Unexpectedly surprised to find some of the best skiing along with the best island food in the same town! But I guess that’s part of what makes this town so great.

Had the j*** chicken and ox tail dishes (with rice, pasta salad, plantain and slaw). It was soooo good. The j*** chicken was spicy and tender. The ox tail wasn't spicy, but still flavorful. Our only regret? We got the small size (& maybe we should have tried more dishes)! We ordered at 4:30pm for pick up at 6:15. It was on time (no wait at all).Definitely will be back!

Great j**** great curry, excellent jambalaya, the best festival, rice & peas, fried plantains, it is all very very good. Prices are reasonable and the service is excellent as well. The venue is perfect, especially for a ski town. Don’t miss this place when in Steamboat Springs!

A little hard to find because there’s not a sign on the street. They share a space with The Press so look for that. The food is very good and prices are even better. The patties and festivals were the highlight. Our bartender/server was extremely attentive even though he was extremely busy. One thing to note is that the bar itself and patrons weren’t practicing social distancing. The bartenders were all masked up, but patrons were not and even worse talking very loudly. There didn’t seem to be restrictions on bar seats, either. So enter at your own risk!

Can’t speak to the quality of the food. Was told 25 minutes for a takeout order. Food had not been started when we showed up. Cancelled it at the 60 minute mark when it was “maybe another 10-20”.Also openly flaunting COVID guidelines. Tables next to each other. No masks. Customers actively discussing recent diagnoses. The restaurant hangs black curtains over their windows leading to the street to pretend it isn’t happening.

Wow! If you are in Steamboat and need something different, Marcia and Joe's Kitchen is a must! Excellent service and even better food! Hard to find Caribbean classics with a Mexican flare. J*** Chicken platter was amazing! Can't wait to visit again!

Really tasty j*** chicken sandwich, j*** hamburger and I loved the French fries. Great little find, staff was awesome, and the atmosphere was cozy and relaxed. And the the draft beer was a perfect pour every time.

Get the j*** chicken! So delicious and it's served with a slaw, plantains, macaroni salad, and rice. And the portions are huge!

Incredible food. Stopped in on our road trip and wanted to eat something a little different and found this little spot. The food was hot, fresh and incredibly flavorful. The owner Marcia was SO sweet, too. Definitely recommend and would support again when I'm in town next! Get the plantains, j*** chicken, and Jamaican patties.

Marcia and Joe’s is the definition of a hidden gem. Tucked into the back of The Press bar on Lincoln Ave are two true islanders making Jamaican food so bold and flavorful that it transported me, even while fitting right into the eclectic bar food culture that has been a part of Steamboat since I went to high school here, in the 90s. I am so glad I found this amazing food!As I write this, COVID is surging and businesses may have to lock down again. Marcia (Mar-see-ah, not Marsh-ah) greeted me with worried eyes as I walked in to the empty bar at opening time, but she followed with an easy laugh and she and Joe have a warm nature. You must support this business! This is perfect take out food! The delicious, spicy chicken, tangy chop salad, and fruity rice will make a perfect take out meal. The festivals, a fry bread that’s not unlike a donut, go with everything, as Marcia rightly advised. What a terrific place. Don’t let it slip away! Call ahead! Cater a Thanksgiving! Buy yourself J*** for your socially distanced Christmas! This place is too good!
