10/19/24: I had a person of color in our party. When we first walked in all excited, the hostess was either having a bad day, hated her job, or was prejudice because her attitude was awful. Little longer than shoulder length black hair. Then a customer sitting at a booth turned around and gave our party a snarling face. We left right after we got seated. It's a shame, we were ready to blow money on our vacation but we felt so unwelcome here. I couldn't believe it.

7 out of 5 stars. Hands down the best food I've had all year, and probably the best margaritas I've ever had (for flavor, not necessarily size or strength, LOL, if you want to get tipsy, these arent the margs for you). Came out for my birthday with some coworkers, straight from the job site, and it was absolutely stellar. We got a variety of tacos, including the birria tacos; we got the house marg, the strawberry summit and spicy mango marg.
The salsas for the chips were AMAZING... I never thought there could be anything particularly special about salsa until today...
I cant say enough good things about this place. And they give you the churro dessert for your bday and O.M.G. Never thought churros could be mind blowing either, but here I am, once again, blown away. Get the dipping sauce with it. Your life will finally feel complete. Eat here. You won't regret it. Next time I'm in town, I'm coming back.

We stopped in 1/2 hour before closing and they were very accommodating, even with our group of 5. Food was very good and the service was great. The short rib birria tacos were part of the specialty menu, very good.

The only downside was the liter of margaritas was very light on tequila. Loved everything else.

No negatives here….I cannot say enough about the food, drink and staff at Salt and Lime! It was definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Steamboat. If you are traveling, I would highly recommend putting this on your list for lunch, dinner or both! If you live in Steamboat, well lucky you! :)
We will be recommending and returning!

Unfortunately, I am such a picky eater that I probably should not have chosen that particular place to go to, but I wanted Mexican food. I knew it would probably be spicier than what I wanted so I made sure to ask how spicy it was.
So we see things a lot differently when it comes to weather and food. In this case, it didn't work out for me. My daughter enjoyed her food very much. I thought the dip that came with the chips had way too much cheese in it and I just could not eat it. Then I ordered a beef taco. It was way too spicy for me so I didn't eat it. If I were to go back again I would choose something different on the menu. My daughter had a variety of tacos. One was a fried fish taco. I had a bite of hers and it was delicious. So if I were to return again to Salt & Lime Restaurant in Steamboat Springs Colorado I would order the fish taco.
I would like to thank the waitress and staff for such a welcoming invite. Please go there and try it for yourself because it really is a very nice place. It's just that I have a very delicate palette for spicy foods and it just didn't work with me ☺️ ENJOY

It's fine. Very expensive for what you get. Staff were fine. A little bit served by numbers could not give a monkeys. Some of the staff seemed to be below adult age and must be paid bare minimum wage.
A terrace overlooking a gas station is hardly the most romantic of setting either.
Not dreadful but nothing to write home about. Especially given the pricing.

This place was highly recommended so we gave it a try. Probably won’t be back. Never have had to pay for chips and salsa in a Mexican restaurant , and never have I had to buy rice and beans ala carte. Very pricey for bougie food. a little disappointed.

Don’t get the chicken enchiladas. One of our orders had no chicken in them and the other was burned to the bottom of the pan.
