There are very few places that offer real BBQ. Most just bake the ribs abd paint on BBQ sauce. This place very good real bbq

Don't waste your money. Food is awful. So upsetting to pay for roast beef not brisket. charged me extra $5 for potato salad that comes with my meal. People were walking out because service was awful to.

Sad to say 3, but yeah. Service with a smile and very friendly. Food left a lot to be desired. My brother and I ordered pulled pork at suggestion of waitress and it was under done and gummy (weird I know) and just not good even w several good sauces. My wife ordered the Philly and it was no bueno too. They even managed to burn the toast of the grilled cheese my kid wouldn't eat. Fries, drinks and service were all good though. We've been here a few times and food seems to be the problem. Bummer.

Worst place i have ever eaten at in steamboat. $60 worst service and bbq i have received in this town. Will never return. The jalapeno sausage was so burnt was unreal cole slawwas so sour and so was potatoe salad. Brisket was a pile fat tried to eat the few pieces you could.Mashed potatoes where ok sweet tea was ok. DO NOT GO

There pulled pork was great. Nice beer menu. Got some amazing sandwich Togo a three meat. Yeah just go here
Kyle and crew are great folks. Showed on a slow offseason night and we ended having dance party till close. So much win.

We ate dinner here and the server from Australia was a funny guy, The food was pretty good and of course there were cheese curds! The meat combo came with a lot of food.

My wife and I are from Steamboat but live in the Denver area. So we try to hit some of the good restaurants in Steamboat when we can, the Smokehouse being one of them. Last Sunday, myself and a husband and wife couple went to the Smokehouse to watch some football and have a beer. A close-by bar was packed so we went to the Smokehouse. When we got to the Smokehouse, the place was MAYBE 1/4 full. By NO means busy at all. We took a high table with 4 chairs close to the bar. At this point there was a bartender, the owner, one other gentleman, and and older shorter lady that I was told might have been the owner's mother. When we sat down, we asked if we could have one of the tv's changed to a particular football game which was no problem and done fairly quickly. Then we waited... and waited and waited some more when FINALLY the older lady brought water to our table and spilled one water into my friend's lap. No biggie, accidents happen. Luckily it was just water. We then waited to get beers which also took a bit of time before someone, some guy to finally acknowledge us, give us menus and ask what we wanted to drink. Once we finally got our beers, my friend's wife was finished with her beer, wanting another one, and my friend, her husband, wanted another beer as well. So when the guy came by our table, he asked my buddy's wife if she wanted a beer, she said yes, the guy walked away not bothering to ask anyone else at the table if they wanted a refill. So my buddy's wife then yelled at the guy and said... "... well my husband would like another beer too... " The food came, it was good as usual... but you could tell that NO ONE in the bar that worked there had ANY kind of "hurry" to them. It was a very "lack luster" kind of attitude. We always go to the Smokehouse because the food is amazing, but unfortunately, we ALWAYS have terrible service there. Better come with some patience if you go.

My wife and I came with our toddler for midday happy hour on a Tuesday the place was completely empty. The server informed us after we were sat that happy hour was only in the bar. The bar had only bar height tables and I was not going to have my son in a highchair staring at my knees. Like I said we were the only people in the restaurant, I politely asked the server if she could extend the happy hour to the dining since we were with our son. She would not. Guess that's why it was empty and we left for another restaurant.

The Worst Customer Service And Worse Bartender!!! He Was Rude From The Beginning And Giving Us Stupid Comments... Never Came Back With Any Thing We Asked For Nicely...Gave Us A Stupid Answer For Asking For Jack Daniels Honey...Waited For Our Food Nd It Came Out Dry Nd Gross...I Finally Got My Check I Didn't Give Him A Tip For Being Rude..Then He Threw The Book Back Infront Of Me And Told Me To Fix That!? I Said Fix What?! He Said U Have To Put A Tip I Said No I Don't Ur Fricken Rude And The Worse Bartender...So I Said Whatever I'll Give U $3.00 Nd He Swore At Me Nd Said Take My Fricken 3$ Outta Here D*** B**** Ugh I Wanted To Punch Him Over the Counter!! Worse Bartender Rude As F*** Probably A Coke Head Nd Worse Place To Eat Nd Their Food Sucks!!
