We only stayed 1 night in Strawberry Springs and chose this restaurant for breakfast, as our hotel was room only. The restaurant certainly has an authentic feel and a wide ranging menu. We both had an omelette, both came with Hash Browns, neither of us ate them - partly because we didn’t really want them, partly because they didn’t taste great. Would I eat here again? Yes - but hold the hash browns!

This place is quaint and perfect for a mountain town. I’d pop in, take a look around and then leave. The chicken fried steak was not done. I mentioned it to a waitress who just looked at me and walked on. Then at the end I mentioned it to the manager and he said it was colored to be that way. He was dismissive and I’d consider rude. I guess since the clientele consists of tourists he does not feel the need to lease a customer so they will return. The French toast had good flavor, but it was basic white bread.
Great prices, good food, nice portions, and, a great staff. It's just a nice place to want to have a meal. The rustic wood Interrior takes you back to the western days. There are some really nice pictures on the walls. I'm glad we stopped for a meal.
