Had a great experience dining early evening in the off season for a date night dinner. Seated outdoors at a low fire pit. Great ambiance. Very knowledgeable and attentive staff. Excellent food- tried a couple salads, elk chili, truffle flatbread, and the warm apple crisp with vanilla ice cream. Highly recommend
I’ve always loved Black Iron and have had great experiences in the past, which makes it tough to say this: the start of this season has been disappointing. The order came out wrong several times, the soup was watered down, and the steak was served cold—noticeably cold. Additionally, there was no wine list available, and the staff couldn’t clearly tell me what wines were offered.

Both the burger and the ham and cheese were good. The staff was kind and quick the atmosphere was perfect, there was a bit of chill the air so they had the fire places going.
