BBQ sauce was terrible. Fries were not cooked through. Pulled pork was dry.
Fast but the food was absolutely terrible

BBQ sauce tasted like red enchilada sauce. Music too loud. Very disappointing.

Fun place. Had the Carolina pork sandwich. Tasty. Pork cooked well. Coleslaw tangy which went well with the pork. Definitely recommend.

During our stay in Telluride, we stopped by The New Fat Alley BBQ in downtown—and we’re so glad we did! My husband and I ordered the full stack rib combo for $35, which came with two sides. We chose the okra and potato salad. The ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender, and the flavor underneath the sauce was absolutely delicious. I didn’t love the BBQ sauce—it was more tomato-based than what I’m used to (I’m from Texas, so I prefer tangy with a hint of sweet)—but it wasn’t bad at all. The potato salad was a hit for me, and my husband really enjoyed the okra.
One thing I appreciated was their variety of kids’ meal options—from pasta and burgers to ribs and more. Even though the kids’ menu isn’t listed, just ask—they do have one! Two of our kids got plain pasta with fresh parmesan (yes, I’ve got picky eaters!), and our 3-year-old had the kids’ pork rib with fries. All of them loved their food.
I wish I had taken pictures, but I was so hungry I dove right in once the food arrived—no regrets!
Shoutout to the gentleman who helped us at the register and later served us at our table (we visited on June 29th around 2:15 PM). I didn’t catch his name, but he was so friendly and patient, especially with it being our first time there. Excellent service!
Overall, we’d definitely come back the next time we’re in Telluride!

Visited Oak at the Fat Alley in Telluride and was very disappointed with the food. I ordered the Carolina Pulled Pork Sandwich ($17) and the Smoked Brisket Sandwich ($19), both of which came with free sides.
Unfortunately, both sandwiches were bland and unseasoned—the meats tasted like they were just boiled and dropped on a bun. No veggies, cheese, or garnish—just plain meat and bread. To make it worse, the bottom bun was soggy and fell apart when I tried to lift the sandwich.
For the price, I expected much better. It honestly felt like a rip-off.
Only reason I’m giving 1 star instead of none is for the ambiance—great indoor and outdoor seating. But I won’t be back.

LOVE this place! Robbie, Daryl, Drew, Mackenna, Amy & all the staff at this fab local bar are AWESOME. Yes, it can be loud & at times it's hard to get served IMMEDIATELY, as there are a few people in line ahead, but that just adds to the energetic atmosphere of this eatery/bar, & I've never seen a team that works as hard & fast to get drinks served & food out in a timely manner on their busy days. At other times, it's quiet, easy & relaxed. We have always had the best bar meals here, including the YUMMO grilled cheese, sliders & tasty BLT. Best apres ski in town, and great location. Our go to place in T'ride, & our absolute favorite.

I had the pulled pork sandwich which was a disappointment. The meat lacked any seasoning. It wasn’t dry, it was just bland even with the BBQ sauce. Also the fried okra tasted like the oil was old and dirty. I’m spoiled to Texas BBQ and have a very biased opinion.

The Chiken Fried Stake is awful, super dry with loaded breading and probably just have 1/8 portion of it is meat. We were here last Spring and we had the same experience regarding food. We tried to give it another try still no improvement.

This spot is in a great location right next to the gondola. The atmosphere is great. They have great dog friendly patio seating here. The beers were great, as well as the fries. The pulled pork sandwich was okay. It was lacking in flavor, and the bun was soggy. The service was fast and friendly. Great spot to grab a beer and enjoy the town and incredible views.

They gave me food poisoning. There was a bite of salmon in the salad that clearly tasted rotten, and on schedule hours later… yikes…. Staff was friendly and service very fast. Atmosphere a bit loud for my taste on a busy evening (some may like that vibe).
