This is the best restaurant in Telluride! Great service, incredible food, and lots of vegan and vegetarian options!

The atmosphere was great. The food was spectacular. We had the Brussels sprouts and cauliflower and they were amazing. 😻 If you visit Telluride make sure to stop in and have a bite.

We can't stop talking about how great this place is... the atmosphere, the salad (Avocado Nori), the meal (Mushroom Fest), and the dessert (Raw Berry Tart), the drinks (Liquid Gold non-alc and Scotty's Yacht Club) were perfect. For real.
They were a great choice for dairy and gluten-free needs, and we wish they were in our hometown so we could eat there all the time. We did get a reservation for a Sunday night. Truly a special place.

Best ramen bowl I've ever had. Staff is super helpful. Food, setting and staff are top notch. I will be returning to Woodear on every one of my telluride trips.

Food was outstanding. Full of flavor, but still well-balanced. Meat was tender and delicious. Not terribly expensive given the surrounding area and other options. 5% charge went to kitchen staff (not gratuity or tip), which was unexpected but good for their staff. Service was on par with the food (excellent). Waiter knew the menu and provided helpful suggestions. Music was a bit too loud to talk comfortably.

We had a great experience dining here. We didn’t have reservations so we sat upstairs in the first-come-first-serve section. They have an extensive cocktail menu. We ordered the Brussels sprouts then the brisket and pork belly rice plates. Both were delicious. I would highly recommend this place.

How does this not have 5 starts?! First of all our server Danielle was knowledgeable and so kind! She told us about everything that goes into making their delicious brisket and told us it’s smoked for 12 hours!
They had an incredible mocktail menu with adaptogens and delicious flavors.
We tried the buffalo cauliflower with coconut ranch and the brisket ramen. 10/10 must try if you are in Telluride for Dinner! Atmosphere was also great 👍

Wood Ear is Telluride’s underground gem — a lively ramen lounge and whiskey bar blending bold Tex-Asian flavors with serious heart. On a chilly evening, I devoured the Hill Country ramen: smoky, slow-braised brisket, wood ear mushrooms, roasted corn, and rich garlic bone broth all coming together in one perfect bowl. The basement vibe, with its carved walnut bar and shelves of Japanese whiskey, felt cozy yet adventurous. Buffalo cauliflower bites and seared edamame brought bright, tangy crunch that balanced the deep broth beautifully. Service was friendly and fast, and the cocktails were just as inventive as the food. Do yourself a favor: grab a bar seat, order the brisket ramen, and pair it with a Japanese whiskey float — you won’t regret it.

Beautiful atmosphere and incredible food! The Buffalo cauliflower was amazing and everyone loved their ramens. The service was also great. The entire upstairs was full and one person was managing it all with ease. I would definitely recommend stopping in if you are in the area!

This was a nice treat for dinner after driving, hiking, and shopping all day. Many of the restaurants were closed since we're here between tourist seasons. But that was fine because we wanted ramen as soon as we saw their menu. My girlfriend is vegetarian, so the Mushroom ramen was perfect. I had the Pork on Pork ramen with pulled pork and pork belly. A superb broth with an egg and many good veggies. We also had the Buffalo Cauliflower for a starter which was also excellent. Our server Danielle was the only one on duty in the bar, yet she was so friendly and efficient. Unfortunately we got so full that we couldn't have one of the 3 enticing dessert options. Maybe next time.
