We went for the river next to windows and it was kinda dark so that was a miss but I thought the food would make up for it. It definitely did not. Maybe cause it was off season but what a bummer. It did not taste fresh or even very seasoned. I have civiche and it was almost rubbery. I barely took a couple of bits and really wanted to send it back but did not have the notion the waitress would deal very kindly with us after. She was short when at the table and barely checked on us more than twice almost the whole time. Even with the whole place almost empty. The kids quesadilla was cold and so was their burger but by the time she asked they had already moved on. Ultimately this was a huge disappointment for the price of everything.

We had such a wonderful experience today at El Segundo, and I can’t say enough great things about the service we received — especially from Shannon.
From the moment we sat down, Shannon was incredibly professional, attentive, and genuinely pleasant. She greeted us with a warm smile and made us feel welcome right away. Throughout our meal, she was knowledgeable about the menu, quick to offer suggestions, and made sure everything was perfect without ever being intrusive. Her timing was impeccable, and she handled everything with confidence and grace.
It’s rare to find service that feels both polished and heartfelt, but Shannon truly delivered that today. The food was amazing as well, we will definitely be back soon!!

Our valentines dinner was made all the more enjoyable by the hostess quickly clearing 2 spots at the bar for us and then we were lucky enough to have the best bartender. He didn’t give us his name but went above and beyond to take care of us and make the night even better than we had hoped.

This is about my 4th time here and it just gets better every time. Nico (I think that was his name) was terrific and killed it behind the bar…I honestly don’t know how he kept up with it all and still was cool and interactive with my group! Tacos were outstanding as well!!
If you’re visiting Vail Village, El Segundo is a good option for your Mexican Food fix. They have an expansive menu with a lot of options. I went with tacos and they were excellent. You really can’t go wrong with any of the taco options. My friend had a burrito that was as big as his head and he said it was awesome. We enjoyed some margaritas and sangria. The homemade sangria was okay and the house margaritas were very good. Watch the up-charge if you decide to get some better tequila in your margaritas. There is a main dining area where the bar is and then a back dining area where we sat. It was quite loud and made it challenging to talk. Still, enjoyed ourselves and would recommend giving this place a try.

Food is pretty good, but service is terrible. Was in here for Super Bowl Sunday. Had to flag down to bar staff every time you wanted anything. Not once did they come on their own will to ask if we wanted refills or more food. If there was a prize for the staff of looking busy, this place would win it. Clearly the staff are allergic to making money, and could care less about trying to proactively take customers orders. I’ve never seen staff look like they care less, and multiple times throughout the night the bar was empty, even though the staff are clearly not busy. Good food and comes out quick, but have to wave down the staff every time you want something

Absolutely insane food and such a variety of options. The staff were so bubbly and friendly it made the experience so much better! The food came out quickly and was absolutely delicious!! Gluten and dairy free options were available too. I would love to go back here again asap!
I’m visiting Vail from out of town and the service and food was TOP NOTCH. Everything I asks for I received in under 60 seconds. I was shocked at how affordable it was. I’ll tell everyone I know to eat here.
