LONGER REVIEW: We have been to Elway's in Vail a number of times over the years, but it has been a while. Based on reviews, decided to give it a another try. SERVICE: Seated promptly at reservation time at a booth by request. Alejandra - our main server - was Awesome. She was there when you needed her, with a great attitude and advice. Nice job! FOOD and COCKTAILS....

We made this our special dinner for our time in Vail...and Elways did not disappoint. I had the short rib, and it was literally the best I've ever had. Fall apart tender, great tasting au jus, awesome creamy horse radish sauce. We also had the halibut. Not cheap...but the food, service, and atmosphere were perfect.

We didn't have steak so maybe we just ordered the wrong things. I cook a lot and when you ask if the Brussels are crisp, the should be crisp. These were not cooked enough and though the sauce was good, the overall was just ok. Same with coconut shrimp. Not much coconut and coating was not crisp...just ok. Fish tacos were better and I would go back to try other dishes. It's a beautiful,fun place and I wish our dishes had been more exciting .
