High end restaurant with solid food. For obvious reason the prices were high but didn’t feel like the food or drink quality quite matched the price. Fun place for a fancy night out in vail.

My friend and I had a lovely dining experience! The wine chosen for us by Anthony was spot on, the appetizers were very nice but the cod was fantastic. Our server, Kelly was so much fun! She was knowledgeable, funny and took great care of us!!

There were children running through the dining room, which was very distracting. My entree was overcooked and my husband's was just so so. The expensive dinner was not worth the effort of going out to dinner. Our server was excellent. She was the best part of our experience. I live here and I'm sorry to say I would not recommend Flame.

The food is excellent! Everything we had was delicious. Our favorite was the quinoa truffle risotto. It is flavor packed with excellent umami and unbelievably creamy. We had a relatively early reservation, so there were not a lot of tables for the first half hour that we were there and yet it was still over an hour before we got our food, which is why I gave it 4 stars rather than 5. In addition, when the bill came, they had charged us for an extra entree and tried to claim we ordered 4 entrees between the three of us, which is ridiculous. They took it off, but I cannot believe that we were argued with in the circumstances. $65 for a fish dish, so it's not nothing.

This was a fantastic experience- just as I would expect from a four seasons restaurant! I accidentally made reservation for just 2 when I needed 6 and they accommodated. Then just before, another person joined and they made 7 work. Food was delicious- I was surprised at how delicious the beet (yes beet not beef) tartare and the quinoa risotto were. Delicious - ice creams (especially the Vietnamese coffee flavor) were great! We left a bag accidentally and they found my cell and called it quickly so we were able to retrieve. Wonderful evening out!

We had a great experience at The Flame. The restaurant is beautiful and the menu is interesting. We decided to lean more heavily toward the fish dishes, but the beef and meat dishes sounded very interesting -- they were pricey though! The bread was a big hit - warm and buttery - very special! For appetizers, we had shrimp (spicy - but very good), smoked salmon (a hit), and octopus (a hit). Main dishes for our table of 3: trout and cod with a side of truffle fries and quinoa. The cod was delicious and came with quinoa and kale as opposed to the trout that was excellent, but comes without a side. We would return!!

We went for brunch and it was delicious! Our server and the hostess were very kind. They gifted us some chocolates and fruit appetizer when they said things were taking longer than expected- which we didn't notice or mind- but we really appreciated the gesture! The hot chocolate and croque madame were amazing!

Service was extremely slow to the point where there were no service staff on the floor at all for 5-10min at a time. We got married at the Four Seasons Vail and loved it and was hoping for the same wonderful experience. We were very disappointed and won't be returning to that particular restaurant. The food was ok. Nothing I would ever order again. Definitely not the Four Seasons service we know and love.

Over the years we have been loyal customers of Flame. Recently the dining room was remodeled to include more tables and the menu was changed very significantly. The result was it went from being one of the best steak houses in Colorado to a typical menu found in many of Vail's finer restaurants. It completely lost its distinctive namesake. We also had to put up with a club music sound system pounding a rhythm beat into a densely packed dining room with patrons all speaking loudly to be heard over the music! In short, it was a miserable experience and quite expensive to boot! The upstairs bar area is a "happening place" with screens, club music and noisy patrons having a fun evening. Unfortunately, it seems like they were trying to carry that theme downstairs to the Flame Restaurant. We will miss our "old Flame,"

We left disappointed by two major kitchen mistakes and the loud music playing. The menu online is also slightly inaccurate but not enough so that we were unable to order what we wanted. The first issue was the complimentary bread rolls. I ate one and thought it was a bit too soft so I inspected the others and found them to all have raw dough on the bottom: they were definitely underbaked. We left the rest but the server didn't ask why despite the fact I had been sitting there turning them all over and pulling at the bottom where the wet dough was sticky and stretchable. When our entrees came they looked beautiful and tasted good. We ordered the sea bass and the cod. The sea bass portion was small - especially compared to the cod - but we had no issues with this dish. The cod is where I lost all faith in the restaurant. My cod was full of pin bones. I pulled out at least five and left them visible on the rim of the plate but continued eating as I was hungry and the flavor was good. The server only checked on us once and didn't seem truly invested in making sure we were enjoying everything, he seemed to just be going through the motions, and he also made no comment on the pin bones. I expect a certain level of service associated with the Four Seasons and this lack of attention on the server's part is inconsistent with those expectations. In hindsight, I should have said something, but was felt it would be a faux pas to complain. However, I decided to share my concerns here and with those I know frequent Vail since the investment in dining at Flame is considerable and I would hate for others to feel their money was wasted. The last thing I will touch on is the two seater tables right at the entrance are subject to the loud music playing. I would have preferred to sit further back in the restaurant. I did appreciate the coat check service and having a sommelier check on our table (even if we're not wine drinkers).

Dinner for family after son's wedding. Flame is amazing! Would expect nothing less from The Four Seasons. The staff were so nice and attentive. Food was delicious!! Highly recommend Flame and the Four Seasons

We are from Miami and were in Vail, Colorado celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary. our waitress (Chantel (I think ?) and all the staff from the receptionist to the cooks, their service is a 10 out of 10, the food is exquisite and the service ?? better!!....

Was not impressed at all by our over $300 dinner. We got the tour of the Rockies and it came out within 10 minutes which was questionable- seemed like it had been sitting under the warming lights, no outside crisp at all. Ribeye was mostly fat. I was super excited to give this a try and let down by the quality of the food. Asparagus undercooked, mashed potatoes tasted like no salt and pepper at all. Everything was under seasoned. For the price there are way better options.
