It is expensive. It is worth every penny. The food is just amazing. It is a changing menu since it sourced by seasonal fare. Move from your taste comfort zone. You will not be disappointed. The food gets 5 stars by itself; however, the service makes it 6 stars. From the greeting at the gondola, to the snow cat ride up the rest of the way to the restaurant, to the coat check, all added positively to the experience. It simply wasn’t just dinner, but an experience. When you see the view, you’ll get it.

Do you like looking at dirty dishes after you are done eating (22 mins after one course)? Then go here. How about eating shoe leather? Then try the lamb. Or maybe espresso (with no crema) BEFORE dessert. Even after complaints, service did not improve. All in all, a miserable but very expensive dinner drawn out over more than 3 hours. There are many great restaurants in Vail. This is not one of them. But the view is great. I wish I could have gone for drinks only.

Had an amazing experience, the food and the service was unbelievable. Liz, Aly and Henry where some of the best servers I have ever had, along with all of the other staff as well.

Going to Game Creek is a very unique experience since it it located in the Game Creek Bowl. You have to take the gondola and then a snow cat to get there. Very fun!! However, once you are there you won't be disappointed. The food is fabulous and service to match, in a very high end Colorado atmosphere. Love it!!!

Fabulous trip up and down the mountain- great start to a wonderful evening. Service was very good. Beautiful restaurant! Food was perfect - the elk and wild boar entree were exceptional. Pear salad, trout appetizer, lobster bisque, agnolotti, desserts were all wonderful. Would highly recommend. We would love to go again.

Our party of four thoroughly enjoyed the evening from the gondola ride up with the cozy blankets to the CAT ride over to the Game Creek chalet. It was a beautiful sunny evening and still light when we went up. The meal was amazing and all four of us said it was the best food we've ever had and just different enough to always be remembered. Wait staff was great and helpful. CAT driver was so friendly and knowledgeable of the area. It is not a cheap evening but one our whole family will always remember and we will be back. Thank you to all who made it so wonderful. The gondola ride back down the mountain in the evening was spectacular with the moon and stars shining brightly. Loved every minute of it!!!!

Fantastic service, experience and food. Definitely bundle up though. Could've used one more layer, beanie, gloves etc. Scallops, salmon, elk were delicious.

Half the fun was just getting here. A ride up the Lionshead Gondola after dark, looking down on the lights of Vail was wonderful, followed by a short ride in the back of an enclosed, heated Snow Cat to the restaurant. I wasn't quite sure what to expect in such an out-of-the-way place, but found the food outstanding without exception. I would highly recommend this place!

When I first booked this place, I thought it would be an average dinner followed by a hefty check since it's more about the gimmick of actually getting to the restaurant for dinner. Instead, what I found was a beautifully crafted tasting menu with an equally stunning wine pairing. Every plate from the salmon and caviar to the sweetbreads and sweet potato was perfectly prepared. Go here, get the tasting menu. You won't regret it.

Salmon was quite dry and overcooked. Large portions which is a little unusual for a menu - a lot was wasted on our table. Otherwise, excellent food, service and ambience. Lovely wine list.

Went for our once a year family Vail top of the mountain special dinner. They got rid of kids menu and only option was Caesar salad (lots of anchovies) and a filet that was so salty kids would not eat it. Both our meals (cod and wild bore) were terrible. Our server was a delight and I hate leaving a negative review because she was great. What a waste of $500+. We might be bailing on years of going to Vail as every restaurant and overall service has taken a major turn for the worst.

Our family of four will never forget our wonderful experience at your restaurant- food , snowcat, gondola and beautiful view! The best part was the people and how we were treated by each one- truly a special evening to be remembered .

We had the set menu for Valentine's day. My husband had the chef's special menu and I had the regular one. The appetizers and courses prior to the main course were artfully presented and delicious, as was the dessert. We were both disappointment on the main course. My husband's rack of lamb consisted of only 2 pieces of lamb that were severed extremely rare and barely edible. My black cod dish was very salty and did not seem to be fresh as it had a "fishy smell". I was changed to the salmon dish, which was better. The ambiance and service are excellent, and the presentation of each course is beautifully presented.

A must do when you want to splurge. From the available blankets at the base of the gondola to the Cat ride to the restaurant truly a memorable experience. Our server, Ali was terrific. Food excellent, my only complaint is that the serving sizes a bit too large. Black Cod and foix gras were amazing.
