Came here to end a ski trip with my friends and immediately regretted it.
The wagyu sandwich was cooked into rubber and drowned in grease. The foie gras mousse had flavor, but the sandwich had no balance and no excuse, especially at $70.
The carbonara was a joke. Overcooked pasta, cream, garlic. That’s not carbonara, it’s a bad Alfredo hiding behind the wrong name.
High prices, low standards. Nothing more to say.

Coming to La Bottega, we were very excited to try out the highly rated Italian restaurant in vail. I came with my family of 4, we expected the food to be authentic italian, fresh tasting, flavorful. But, instead we got the whole opposite. All the pastas ordered felt like a box pasta, not fresh tasting. The shortrib had no flavor, we had to add a lot of salt and pepper. The octopus was good, but everything else was very mid. The tiramisu was good but also felt like boxy. Honestly we were left unsatisfied, with our needs not met.

Wonderful place, very cozy. The servers were fantastic, the ambiance was very nice, and the food exceeded expectations. I had the veal ossobuco polenta, which was delicious, as well as the fettuccini with veal. The price was as expected. I would go again!

I had such a great experience at this Italian restaurant. The pasta was absolutely incredible — fresh, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor. You can really taste the quality in every bite. The desserts were just as impressive… rich, beautifully presented, and the perfect sweet ending to the meal.
The place has a cozy atmosphere, and the staff were friendly and attentive, which made the whole experience even better. If you’re craving authentic, delicious Italian food, this spot is definitely worth a visit!
