Rushed out of the place for the next table. Our party was large, but our bill was too. So was the tip. Because I don't penalize service tips for management policies ... It was rude though.

Such a great restaurant. Been here 3-4 times now and everything has been delicious. This time was lunch and I had the mushroom soup and mushroom soup followed by a perfect espresso macchiato. Service was professional, prompt and friendly. Nice wine list. I look forward to my next visit!

This has become a touristy place pushing very average food. My food was really bad at $50 plus price for osso buco. The meat was undercook and lacking flavor without a trace of wine and thyme typically used for cooking it. And polenta? Sticky chunks of polenta probably procured commercially had nothing creamy to them, no trace of grated Parmesan cheese and milk fresh polenta is supposed to be cooked in. Inedible gremolata. If their chef is ever reading this then - shame on you and the owners of this joint.

This was a good place a couple years ago… today all the pasta was overcooked and took about one hour to get the food and had to return two plates… we were 9 people and unfortunately we did not have a good experience… this place was closed for a while maybe changed ownership…

After a several year distance from eating out at one of our favorite places, we went back. Had our table by the windows in tge bar area and a waiter that has been there for many years. Still same quality food. Great service. Covid did a job on places but we are back!

Except for the tiramisu, I will actively avoid the food here. It was too expensive and not worth it.

Excellent food, 100% recommended, but terrible service. Our waitress rushed us since the beginning to the end of our stay with a lot of actitud.

I found this place from wanting to find a nice restaurant with good food that was easy to walk to in Vail Village. The reviews and prices were decent, and we love Italian food, so we decided to try it out. You can ride the internal bus over, or it is a short 5 or so minute walk from the Vail transportation center. We made a reservation online in advance. We did end up being early to our reservation, but we still checked in. There is not a lot of room to wait in the lobby of the restaurant. I also had to wait a while to check in, they were very busy on a Monday night. Many servers, bartenders, bussers, all walked by without even acknowledging the people waiting by the door, like we weren’t even there. Finally the host and the manager came up to greet people. But after checking in, there was no communication on when we were going to be sat, or how long it was going to be, or where we were in the line. I watched as people who checked in after us got sat (I presume they had an earlier reservation than us, but I don’t know). I also watched as the host passed us many times without any update. More communication on the timeline to be sat would have been nice. We did get sat around 10 minutes after our reservation time even though we checked in 20 minutes early. So we waited 30 minutes to be sat. We just had our patient pants on since we could see that they were busy and trying to handle it. Once we did get sat, it took a while for someone to come and greet us. This was the other assistant server that brings you water, bread, and clears your plates. Then it took a while for the server to come over and get our drink order. We ordered a bottle of Chianti, but they were out. So we had to choose a more expensive bottle of Chianti instead. After this moment however the service improved, our water was topped off continually, plates were cleared continually, we were checked on, and food came at a reasonable time. The Chianti was good. We ordered the Linguine with seafood (was a large portion, was only okay, not a lot of flavor, but the linguine pasta was excellent), the cheese pizza (it is stone fired pizza, I got the 6 inch pizza but it was a lot larger than that in reality and perfectly filled me up, it was good but nothing special), the white truffle gnocchi (the gnocchi was excellent, the flavor was subtle though), and the ravioli of the day which was salmon and ricotta (it was 4 ravioli’s but they were filled very well, lots of flavor, good sauce, and tasted great). Everyone ate everything on their plate and was satisfied at the end. Overall we enjoyed our experience. It felt like the prices were more than what we expected and what we got. These prices are in line with other Vail prices but there are places where you can get great food with bigger portions for less money. We are happy we tried it out, but will not be returning.

Booked a 5:30 reservation planning on an early ski day in vail. Hostess took us upstairs to a small sterile room at a tiny 2top that sat at the counter of the drink station where servers moved back and forth around our table. Worst seat in the house, while they had seated walk-ins immediately before us at the better tables. We declined the table and chose to sit at the noisy bar by the front door where the bartender served us our food. He was attentive. Would not return due to terrible hostessing.

We got the linguine, penne, and Greek salad and they were all phenomenal. I especially recommend the salad and penne with the chicken. Was extremely busy but still had 2 waiters constantly checking on us. Very impressed. We will be back.

This restaurant gets great reviews and yet I don't understand why. This wasn't our first visit but will definitely be our last. Our waiter barely greeted us. Our appetizers arrived and was fine. Caprese salad $28 was a joke. Poor quality tomato. Our dinners arrived cold. They took them back and put under heat lamps and reserved them with no apologies or effort to fix. Mind you we all got pricey meals; vongole and fish dinners. It was awful. $450 later. Don't go - there are so many better restaurants in Vail.

It’s been going down hill for years but last nights meal was particularly atrocious.Ordered the gnocchi and it was served with dedicated pieces of shaved Parmesan that had the texture of dried leather and the taste of plastic. The manager came over to argue with me saying “that’s just our normal shaved parm and that’s how it’s supposed to be” until I handed her a piece of it that I had saved and she realized how bad it was.The owners are running La Bottega and its sister restaurant barrio social into the dirt.

Unfriendly, uninviting and poor service. We have loved La Bo for many years (we used to be locals for many years), but the last few years have been disappointing. When we walked in (at 3:30pm) the staff treated us as if we were an inconvenience. Even my 15yo son said 'I feel like we're not welcome here' after we were seated. (The place was quite empty at this hour... you'd think they'd have been happy for the business.) The food is very nice, but it sits in the warming area much too long. There should be teamwork amongst the staff to deliver hot food. Our pizza sat for at least five minutes and when it was finally delivered it was not hot. We were going to order dinner but after the poor service and unwelcoming atmosphere we decided to leave after the pizza and salad.

I was terribly disappointed in this restaurant. From the maître'd who was surly at best through to our waiter who was very absent and incapable of smiling. If I had been back home I would have asked to speak to the manager as the level of service was appalling. I resented leaving a tip. There was even a knife on the floor next to the entrance to the restaurant main area that stayed there during our entire visit. Not a single person picked it up. Apart from the service the food was very ordinary. It was Olive Garden quality at best. I booked this weeks in advance as I'd heard good things about it. Not sure if it was just an off night but it simply wasn't good enough.
